I had a brand new 2018 cascadia, I made it 10 miles and the air compressor stopped working. It was nice but compared to the Volvo, it had no pulling power, accelerated super slow, the steering felt sloppy and the ride was really rough. I immediately went back and got my 2016 Volvo. I had no problems with the Volvo until it hit 275k miles and the air compressor went out. But compared to the Freightliner it was better in every way. Before the Volvo I had a new 2015 Cascadia, again it was slow, weak, rough riding, mirrors vibrating horribly. Volvo had it beat hands down.

It has a high pressure common rail. It’s in the rocker housing. 3 injectors create the high pressure via camshaft and supply the rail. The other 3 are normal injectors.

That dash switch isn’t a jake brake, it’s hill assist. Holds on an incline for a few seconds until you get to the throttle.

Richard Pearce yeah that’s true new cascadias are very sensitive on wind, even when I’m in right line and truck pass me on left line wind from that truck push me on shoulder, it crazy how poor new cascadia handle wind, my first comment is based on cascadias 2017 and older, I more like drive feeling on older cascadias than on new cascadias

@@Snorlax9 i mean its like modern day pickups. Why is a cab with a bed selling for an average of $50,000? New rigs are equipped with auto braking radar cruise control, DPF systems and better engineered cab comfort which is very important to a trucker. But prices probably increased by $10,000 on average for emissions systems.
