It is the fall of 2019 and the nation's top two high school cross country teams, Great Oak High and Newbury Park High, are on a collision path. Both teams call Southern California home. One of those teams has dominated for years and the other has only recently developed into a contender.
In Episode 1, you will meet the coaches and athletes behind these two elite running programs. The coaches will explain the philosophies behind each team and the athletes will give you a sense of how it all plays out.
hdRunners joins forces with an icon of California running media to explore the extraordinary 2019 cross country season in this 6-episode series.
Host: Rich Gonzalez, PrepCalTrack
Director: Adrian Brizz, hdRunners

The next major episode release, about how the teams approach summer training and altitude camp in preparation for the season, will be released Sunday, Sept. 13. We also have a separate series, "In Depth", that is more interview-based and the first of these episodes is releasing this Sunday, September 6. It will focus on the sacrifices of athletes in elite programs. Thanks for asking.

Carter Steele he’s more just saying when you think 4:20 is impossible it won’t happen. Not everyone can do it, but if you don’t work hard with the perspective that you might be able to run really fast, you won’t succeed

Question. Why y'all never film LA City Section? smh. Student-Athletes in LA City Section have as much potential and Grit as SS and all the other schools in California too you know.

@Jacob Donohue That’s besides the point. LA City Section is still very much worthy of being filmed.

imo la city can't really be compared head on with southern section, i run la city section d1 but i just don't see people dropping times like southern section, i do agree though there are runners in la city section that have lots of potential
@peachycranberry
@peachycranberry 4 жыл бұрын
Krypto Exactly. Idk why there’s any comparing being done in the comments anyways. All I said earlier was that LA CITY Section should be filmed as well like other City sections. Simple.
