ikr my team this year has 3 good runners, all of us are juniors too because none of the seniors have the balls or maturity to just put their head down and get in good training

My dude, at my school I'm the only person who even runs seriously, I'm the only person who can break 20, and I can run high 15's, it sucks to not have a team, you have to do everything alone, and when I hear about teams, and talk to my friends from bigger schools that have teams it just makes me sad
@kaismithley61734 жыл бұрын
@@wyatthoover8253 dude at this point I'm the same, last year I was number 6 varsity on a team that almost made it to state and we were all super dedicated and now it's me and edgar with a bunch of degenerates who don't wanna listen to our advice and can't even break 18 as juniors and seniors that have been running for at least 3 years

If anybody out there wants to share their summer training strategies, I'd be interested in hearing about them. High mileage or repeats? How much mileage? Hills or flat?
@alexisromero34144 жыл бұрын
No mileage during summer 2K18 (senior szn) didn’t even plan on running that year. :) Go WRXC! :)

90+ mile weeks in the summer is the best base for a cross country runner. Once the hard speed workouts come in the season, fast times will be the end result.
@freshappleseed69664 жыл бұрын
1. 60-70 mpw 2.Tempo run once or twice a week 3. Easy runs in between 4. Long runs on Sunday 5. Take a down week after about every 4-5 weeks 6. Convert a tempo to mile or kilometers repeats in 2nd half of summer
@jfareilla4 жыл бұрын
High mileage, with hills in almost every run. Nothing too major, but like the other people are saying a tempo run each week, a solid long run, and plenty of moderate/easy mileage runs is ideal. For the better runners like in this vid, I could easily see how repeats and insanely high mpw is ideal
@ianbusche14714 жыл бұрын
I just did 15-20 mpw with some tempo runs, just ran 16:19 which is number one in my state for Class B which is small towns compared to Class A which is big towns
