Behind-The-Scenes: Newbury Park's Record-Breaking 4xMile Relay at New Balance Nationals Indoor

At 2022 New Balance Nationals Indoor, two sets of brothers set out to break the 4 x mile relay record of 17:01.81 by Loudoun Valley in 2019. Newbury Park High School (Calif.) sent out Aaron Sahlman, Leo Young, Lex Young and Colin Sahlman out to chase history.
We mic'ed up coach Sean Brosnan, who is someone quick to make and defend the case that his squad of boys is the greatest ever in high school history. His team's mantra for the season has been to not set limits and chase excellence.

Great race and great effort. I think if they had a few teams that were a bit faster making Newbury run a bit harder they could have cut 10-15 seconds off of their time. Remarkable race.
