1. Putting the “Sport” in Supersport Touring
The FJR1300ES features a compact and lightweight, 1298cc, DOHC,
16 valve, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine that delivers
superb power and torque for unequaled muscular acceleration across
the RPM ranges.
2. Six- Speed Transmission
The FJR1300ES features a compact six-speed transmission, with ratios
providing evenly spaced gearing for sporty riding with a tall 6th gear
for relaxed highway riding. Additionally, the transmission gears are

3. Advanced YCC- T Engine Control and Rider Aids
Yamaha’s exclusive Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) is a ride-by-wire

Touring such as traction control, cruise control and D-Mode
adjustable engine mapping.
4. Lean Angle- Sensitive LED Lighting System

incredible illumination and improved low-light vision. The
FJR1300ES is the first Yamaha motorcycle to feature this technology.

This bike is wayyyyyyy better lookin' that the BMW and I think the styling is awesome!! It does however lack a few features the BMW has....but over all it's a badass machine!!!

US market is spoiled with low prices, this bike is enormously cheap if you get it for 18k usd, welcome to Finland and you pay 25k euros for this bike and I don’t even want to know how high insurance will be over here.

I like your review. I have a 2004 fjr now it is still one of the best sport touring bikes. On my 2003 fjr I did 160 miles ( 250.000 km’s) with much pleasure and comfort. Your right a BMW is great but is it worth the extra money....
