Got this bike 2 weeks ago . Without a doubt the most fun I’ve had on a bike in a long time !!! And I’ve had a fireblade , rsv4 and bmw 1000rr all amazing bikes but the mt09 gives you so much useable power for road use which makes it so much fun !!!

DukeOfDC yeah it wasn't too loud but the choice of song was meh... I like how you lower the volume so we can hear what you say and the engine sound but I think that music does not go along with the overall video. Personally I want to listen to Mt-09’s beautiful cp3 sound.

I've finally admitted to myself that 170 hp+ super nakeds and litre sports bikes aren't where the fun is at anymore. You just can't use that much power safely or sensibly on the public roads, and they're usually really bad at low speeds around town. For me the MT09 and bikes in it's bracket, are where the real fun is, as you can rev them out without hitting warp speed but there's so much meat left on the bone to haul ass and wheelie out of a nice twisty section, plus they work better all round as an everyday bike. I'm a convert to the mid range bike from now on 👍😎
@celzolsen89885 жыл бұрын
@@DukeOfDC I am 100% convinced that the MT-09 sucks (in comparison) until you get a re-map to smooth the throttle/fueling out. Such a shame that 90% of people who own one don't even know that it's a thing, and since test bikes aren't mapped you won't even get the proper experience if you go and test one.
@DukeOfDC5 жыл бұрын
A remap would make this damn near perfect at the price point it comes in at. How much is the re-tune?
@celzolsen89885 жыл бұрын
@DukeOfDC I heard it's about 200$ if you get the proper one, in a shop. Be sure not to get a power commander and that the mechanic knows what he is doing. You can also do it yourself relatively easily. Check this video to make sure it's being done in this way and not any other. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXXKhXWdZpt_o5Y

I have to two very serious things to ask you. Right now I started following you. First thing: In the past I had 50cc, 125cc, 180cc, 200cc and 500cc and I am 37 years old, having a licence for 20 years now. I really like the MTO9, the style, engine and everything ... What bothers me is the suspension and riding with a pillion (girlfrined). I am not a harsch rider and I would like to know, if this bike (i think of the 2019 model) would be suitable for me, as I am 100kg (186cm tall, if think this is OK) and my girlfriend is 60 (164 cm tall). The max load of the bike is something like 180kg? If riding with a pillion someone should adjust the preload of the rear suspenison? In doing so, this bike should be OK? In keeping it adjusted for two up, it would be also OK for a single rider? And the last thing. Some people say that this bike (model 2019 and even Tracer 900) is gonna power wheelie in all modes except B. If I would buy this bike, I would have it most of the time in STD, with TC 2 or 1, but I am a bit afraid of wheelies and not the power of the bike. I think that you can control the power in your head, but if the bike is gonna wheelie in almost every gear even with TC on, than only God can help us. :))) Thanks for your answer. Also thanks to all of you that are willing to answer my questions.

DukeOfDC doesn’t this get exhausting lol
@Lowcruzr245 жыл бұрын
DukeOfDC Great reviews really entail discussions about aspects of the bike; visually (a walk around), qualitatively (the ride experience), and quantitatively (the numbers people come to reviews for). I would have thought you'd mention more than just the crossplane crank, the fact it is a powerful three cylinder (847cc btw), adj. suspension, and that it's super windy. Oh, and the touchy throttle. (You probably had it in B mode which IS super twitchy.) You didn't mention the adj. ride modes (hence your experience with the super touchy throttle), adj. traction control, abs, slipper clutch, LED lights, 3D taillight design, ride-by-wire, HP/tq rating, wet weight, seat height, fuel capacity, the boatload of available accessories, etc. Visually, most reviews have good walk-arounds and point out design features, the dash layout, exhaust system, lighting, etc. Sorry I was negative in my first post. I just think a 30 sec flip through the online brochure before hopping on it could make your vids much more informative, and thus, more like button hits!
