2019 Z400 Head Light Assembly Removal

In today's video we fix something that we should have never had to. We also explain how to remove the head light assembly for light bulb replacement.
We bought our Z400 a little over a year ago from Ride Now here in Arizona. This place was the worst place to do business with. They were the only shop in town that had this model. 7 hour purchase, I WAS PAYING CASH!

Wow. Was yours a 2019? Maybe ours were built on a Friday. I dont think that those are installed at the dealership, definitely a factory blunder. Thanks for sharing your discovery.

do you know if there’s a way to get to the high and low beam bulbs or do you just have to replace the entire assembly? mine went out entirely and I traced it back up to the bulbs themselves.

From what I could.see you have to undo the clips around the assembly. I looked hard for a way to get to the bulbs but could.not find a way other than the clips. I started to do it for the video but decided not to because I thought I would break them. You can see how it looks like it's two pieces being held together. If I were to attempt to remove the clips I would use a heat gun to warm those clips to make them less brittle. Not too much or you might melt something. If all those clips were released I believe it will come apart. I didn't find anything in the manuel about it. Come.back if you have any more questions.
