I filled those holes with silicone within the first week of buying my truck. Right when I saw them I thought it was the dumbest thing I’d seen in awhile and sure enough. I don’t care if the little handhold fills with water on rare occasions (I park in the garage) I just let it fall out when I open the gate. I knew this would cause a problem. I got my letter a couple days ago btw
