I've just gotten into archery, and I'm absolutely ASTOUNDED at the prices of things.

Most hobbies are expensive but people are unaware if it isn't something they are interested in. High end stereo gear, insanity. You can drop a quarter million dollars easily. I've seen speaker cables that cost more than my brand new car. Mine cost $300 and most people think that's crazy, Golf? How many golf nuts will pay $400 for ONE club? A lot apparently and then there's the stupid cost to play every time you want to hit the links. Into fishing or worse fly fishing? God, these people will spend $1000 on a rod and hundreds on a reel. If they're into blue water fishing and "need" a boat then the sky is the limit. Automobile hot rods? LOL 10 grand on the engine is a good starting point, then there's the trans, brakes, wheels, etc. Bicycling? Ptth, my bike cost more than any bow currently on the market and it's not that big a deal. Most shops have $5,000+ bikes on the floor these days. Most people who are archers are also hunters and there's the added cost of that venture. Camo, tree stands/hunting blinds, camping gear, optics (HD stuff can cost more than the bow easily), hunt tags, animal processing, etc. It's all a matter of perspective.

@@gblan its even worse when youre like me and try to juggle building a project car, fishing, and hunting/shooting sports. Sometimes i ask myself why i had to pick all the expensive hobbies😂😂

Used to love the ole fail safe pinky release back in the day, long before the hinge! 👍

Yep, i still have one...with the rope on it since back then before D loops

I would feel a lot more comfortable hunting with a $300 release if it was attached to my wrist. Maybe it could have a place to attach a wrist lanyard, just to keep from losing it. I do love the idea of this release, I love pinky releases for target and index releases for hunting, and having one to do it all would be amazing!

TheAegisClaw I agree. Hopefully Lancaster will do another review that will cover all the aspects of the release without jumping around.

This is insane on the price I thought 200 was too much for what you get with a release. I can machine and I know it doesn’t cost anywhere near the prices we pay to machine a release.

I'll give a 2 out of 10 on the review ..... Guess we;ll have to see reviews of people that buy the Go2 and see how it fairs out ....

350 is nuts. The top Carters, Stans, and even their own releases are a hundred bucks less. They missed the mark on the cost of this one.
@SteveZ9194 жыл бұрын
Looks like they bought the rights/copyright of the old Carter Hole Thing 3 release. I have 3 generations of this same release I shot on pinky and this 'new' release looks exactly like the old Carters.

It better be Rock Solid for $300 like I would love a new release if that's up there no wonder people are so shy from target archery. Looks like a great release though

How can a release cost nearly as much as a lower end hunting bow

Congratulations Jeff on the Best of Show award , but I think it's WAY over priced 😳

For 300 dollars I wish the thumb button worked and wasn’t just for show. Some more innovation would have been nice and SHOW doesn’t sell for me I’m more of a GO guy, I need the meat and potatoes not just bling.
@kalumeet14 жыл бұрын
300 USD because it has got a PRICE for being an innovation? Sorry, but that grape hangs to high for me. ☹️

Maybe if you sky draw, if you draw properly an unintentional release shouldn't be outside the confines of the target
@joshsinglefooter4 жыл бұрын
@@BeetleBuns Meaning it's alot going on with that release.
@BeetleBuns4 жыл бұрын
@@joshsinglefooter true. I'm kind of liking the idea of a hunting and target release in one, but murphy's law gets more prevalent with more complication, I see where you're coming from
