Thank you. And you will really enjoy the sled. It’s a ton of fun! 3000 plus miles on mine and I have no complaints.

I recently purchased from Dee's marine and they sell a large volume of sleds. Really knowledgable sales team and owners. There mechanics do a lot of test and tune work and develop a lot of their own clutch kits with factory parts (much cheaper then aftermarket). If you have questions call and ask for Ryan. He can explain in great detail what they are seeing with aftermarket cans, y pipes and tuned pipe. He does not recommend a can at all. They have a relationship with Rich Daily of dyno port and hes a wealth of knowledge.

I snow checked a 2022 Backcountry X. Is the XRS the same sled but upgraded shocks?
@nocuremotorsports10773 жыл бұрын
I think they are basically the same the sled. The xrs I think has a few other differences and parts that are thicker. And I think the steering post is further forward in the xrs for more aggressive ridding but don’t quote me on that. But the main difference is the suspension.

Surprised to see a stud missing already in the middle of the track at the bottom left around 10:30
@nocuremotorsports10774 жыл бұрын
From the dealer there was no studs in the center of the track. There is a hole for them but no studs.
@Thekid19964 жыл бұрын
Also curious on how you have your suspension set up? Front and back? I find mine hard to corner in the turns but I haven't played with the suspension much
@nocuremotorsports10774 жыл бұрын
Jordie Hopper no I haven’t had any bog with my sled. I still have the factory exhaust. It could be the can I’ve heard guys had that problem. But a few guys I’ve talked to on 2020s they put a can on with zero miles and had no problems. Which can do you have? As far a my suspension set up I change it according to trail conditions. But for decent trail conditions I was soft. Front suspension I think I liked it 2-4 clicks from zero at the top and 2 on the bottom I believe. The rear front shock was 4-6 and the rear shock 3-5 I believe I’d have to check on that. Also my limiter strap is extended all the way out.

@@nocuremotorsports1077 wow awesome! Thanks alot. My suspension was way too stiff Haha. Going to try loosening it up. I have a jaws rowdy can
@nocuremotorsports10774 жыл бұрын
No problem hope that helps ya out! Also I’ve never ran a jaws can but i know those do cause bog. My brother has a ggb trail can and he likes it no problems at all. All the guys I spoke with were running the mbrp trail can.

Have a chance to buy the 154" version with a 2" track. I'm probably a 70% trail rider. Think this would be a good trail sled too? Thanks!!
@nocuremotorsports10774 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen a few up in U.P but not that many I would think it would be ok but might be a little long since you ride mainly trails. I really like the 146 it’s good for trail and backcountry riding. It’s not to long for twisty trails. And still has good top end speed. I want to switch to the 2inch and see how it does on trail. I have heard from a lot of guys who really like it.

@@nocuremotorsports1077 Thanks for the advise!! Ended up buying a 2020 Skidoo Backcountry Xrs 850. Found a practically new Lava red one with 354 miles. It's the 146" 1.6 Ice Ripper track with Shot. Hopefully I will like it!! Like I said i've been on the Polaris Assault 144" 850 the past few years. Have a great winter Buddy!!! Art

@@nocuremotorsports1077 there’s a big thread on dootalk about track choice on the BC you should check it out. Apparently people are really liking the 1.75 hurricane track on the BC. Best of both worlds. I think if I end up ordering one I’ll most likely order it with the 1.6 and sell it and put the hurricane on right from the get go.

I have the exact same sled, spring ordered it last year. I have 700km on mine and I noticed it has a bog. Have you noticed any with yours? I have an after market exhaust. Thinking it might be that

I have an SLP trail exhaust on a 2020 xrs 154 , put it on right at the dealer so never rode it with the stock , works perfect. 200 miles past break in bang on 7800-7900 rpm ..... I’m very happy with it
@str8tdiesel074 жыл бұрын
@ Jordie ditch the can. My dealers is getting reports of customers with a bog and they advise removing the can and the bog issue is resolved. BRP puts tons of money in exhaust r&d. 2 stroke exhaust pulse is critical for performance.
@nocuremotorsports10774 жыл бұрын
My dealer told me to just wait and put one on after break in. I’m not sure yet if I will put one on. But yes BRP from factory has pretty much the best exhaust you can get.

Yes I’m happy with the track. I’ve heard guys like the 2inch on trail as well. I’d like to put on the 2 inch track for next season to see the difference. But overall the 1.6 with studs is a great track.

Nice sled. I’m on the fence between a switchback assault and a back country xrs. I know for a fact the assault is a better sled on trail, but the back country is better off. I’ve rode them both and that’s what makes it a tough decision for me.
@nocuremotorsports1077 Жыл бұрын
I have over 7000 miles on this sled now and it’s a great trail machine. I have a new 2 inch backcountry x2 track for this season. Can’t wait to see how it does on trail and off trail.

@@nocuremotorsports1077 it’s hard to beat BRP quality and an etec. I’ve got a barn full of Polaris stuff and it’s hard to beat the 7s display and ergos on the matryx. But man, I love the back country sleds! Glad to hear yours has treated you right, seems like most skidoo sleds share the same results as yours.

I have both and a switchback is just better at the 50/50 segment if anyone says different that would mean they have never owned both sleds.tks
