One only comment: top of the cage is indicated by the presence of relevant P/N markings. Keep it aligned with filter "top side" for correct fitting of filter on the cage.

Guy I know was adamant how unnecessary the grease is. When you never have any issues it may seem that way. A year later he dusted an engine at the dunes and confirmed that extra few minutes for an insurance policy is worth it.

This Beta designed airfilter, with the 3 plastic grommets built into the filter can be problematic! The oem twin airs don't come with any oil around the grommets.... and they will suck dust through the grommets. I highly reccomend adding grease around the grommets as well as added oiling too. Any new bike sold should immediately have the filter pulled and have extra filter oil added around the 3 grommets! Also, ive noticed the upper right corner of the filter connection can pinch or pull the filter and stress it at the glue seam. Be careful there too. Ive resorted to adding grease around the grommets as well for added barrier to prevent engine dusting.

Do you tuck the edge of the filter in the intake or leave out around it?

What's that little hole in the airboot? That where the breather goes?

Jered how often do you change the air filter? Do you clean and reuse them? If so what's your practice for cleaning. Thanks for all your informative videos.

Good Afternoon, It all depends on the day of riding.. it if is super sandy and dusty I will probably change it after the ride. I will admit that I have started throwing old air filters out and just using new pre-oiled ones... Now that the cleaner kits have approached $25-30 its hard to justify cleaning the old ones! Enjoy the ride, Jared

Any benefit from removing the backfire screen?
@3SeasRecreation2 жыл бұрын
Good Morning, thanks for watching our video! Some customers that are only going to race have removed the screen, I do not think it affects the performance enough for anyone to notice. It's a good safety measure for the guys in the back country trail riding. Thanks, Jared

@3SeasRecreation2 жыл бұрын
Good Morning, we use a general powersports grease. Something along the lines of Maxima or what is available through our suppliers. Thanks for watching our videos, very much appreciated. Jared
