2020 Bighorn Steel Classic | Precision Rifle Match | NRL

As part of NRL's 2020 Season of national-level, centerfire precision rifle matches, the 2020 Bighorn Steel Classic presented by Thunder Beast Arms Corp. took place Mar. 13-15, 2020. Match directors Chaz Macrander and Jake Jensen hosted this precision rifle match on a private range in Nehawka, Nebraska.

+1 I would ocassionally rewind to see what the competitor was shooting if it seemed the rifle was shooting exceptionally soft.

It’s what we wear in the outdoors hunting in crappy weather.....this is just an extension of that. No need to buy special clothing, wear what you have.🇺🇸

No target footage? Add target can in frame with shooting and this would be great. Otherwise, what I'm watching is just trigger pressing?

is everyone with custom rifles or factory rifles with some modifications are enough to compete? I have a Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5 Cr, will this be good enough rifle to participate?

Absolutely. It helps to have a ffp mil/mil scope.

So much better Travis. The interaction and personalities behind the scenes is epic. Not really caring for what targets or what distance breakdowns. The kid is a star. So is Nico, Jon, Jake, etc. Sorry the season will be cut short.

Quit being lazy - go back to the other format, with the box of info displayed when the competitor shoots, and put in the diagram explanations of the stages; this isn't a race to the bottom.

Much better video editing and storytelling. It was actually engaging! I like the format of introducing the shooters you followed at the beginning. I do miss the info graphics on their setups and the target sizes and ranges, but overall this video is orders of magnitude better than the previous.

Love this style of video compared to the old ones where shooters were interviewed after each stage. Keep up the great work. Might think about joining now that I know there are Border War matches near me!

Why don’t they use long pad velcored or spring loaded to the fore end instead of bags? Why does no one use a sling to help steady the rifle? Why does no one use a brass catcher?

Good coverage of the match, can you explain the prize structure for place in the match. Did first place shooter win the rifle shown and what rifle is it? Also as mentioned by other comments, target coverage, range, wind and details on calibre, make model etc. If a viewer is thinking about long distance travel to one of these matches, some incentive and info would go a long way.
