Hey mate, i have the same vehicle and thought ill give some update on how to launch correctly. If you hold it in launch control slightly longer (2-3 seconds) itll rev up to around 2850rpms giving an optimal launch with better results. These engines and bmw M vehicles in general need to spool up slightly longer at launch.

@@muzammilhussain9667 hey mate, quickest i have gone a 0-100km/h was 3.5 seconds tho my mate has gone a 3.3 0-100km/h in his X4M COMP. Both vehicles are pretty much identical.

Not necessarily bro, bmw always understates there numbers, i was reading an article that someone managed to squeeze a 3.1-3.0 on the X5M. Nonetheless the X3M is a really quick vehicle.

Muhammed Basoglu Ofcourse, I’m well aware of BMW understating their numbers and hp figures. I didn’t believe the 3.3s time at first, but a quick search on the web shows the same time achieved by many other reviewers and on the forums by owners. Wow, that’s a beast you’ve got mayte. TsLeng speakers??? Mate do you think they have speakers on the outside of the car. Its all exhaust noise outside. Pull the fuse and you will see how little noise is pumped inside through the speakers.

Great car, we opted for the normal M40i and it's fast enough for us. The X3M as a daily is pretty terrible. For the car to handle better they had to stiffen the suspension. We didn't notice much in body roll and cornering capabilities. But we noticed more cabin noise. This car is all about performance. The M40i is definitely a better daily, but if fast is what you want then I would wait for the M3 as it will be a low 11's supercar slayer

The x3m40i is a better daily if one can not afford the X3M. I had an M40i and went to an X3M and can assure you it is a great daily driver. In comfort it feels almost as supple as the M40i, but handles rebound bumps better. The sound and performance makes the M40i feel like a regular 30i. Both great cars and both great daily drivers.

I prefer the deeper baritone sound of BMW’s non-M versions of their 3.0L I-6 engine. This sounds sorta rice-ish. I also cannot believe they use their stupid synthetic engine note in the M-cars too. Why does any I-6 engine need an annoying artificial warble added? BMW really doesn’t seem to understand how great their older cars were before. Did the E46, E9x 325i/328i/330i/335i need fake engine sounds? Of course not. They sounded so good on their own that you didn’t have to change the natural sound.

Sounds like old Datsun 4 banger with buggered muffler. Very disappointing regardless how quick it is. In fact I would be embarrassed to rev engine in close proximity to others....no doubt bring on snickering and shame on owner.
