Just picked up my new '21 X5M Competition in Alpine white and Sakhir orange interior from in stock. Have not had it 24 hours yet but will be on RT280 in Palo Alto today. Couple disappointing things. One, not a fan of the digital dashboard. My 2017 had a beautiful analog speed and tach. Two, I just assumed (incorrectly) that the dealer could install a tow hitch. Not the case. You cannot even order from the factory if you wanted. I was told to go to stealthhitches.com as they do have one available, however, the cost for parts ($668) and installation ($!!!) will likely combine to more money then I want to invest. Oh well, looks like I'll be lifting bikes onto a roof carrier. What were those engineers thinking, we only drive on the Autobahn??
