Sounds amazing I had a Ecstasy 100A in the early 90s the tone of a Bogner is like no other. these days I run a shiva I love the mid range tone but I give it a boost with a Rev 3 pedal it gives it the modern kick in the ass but still retains the legendary midrange tone I only run the gain at 1/3 at higher levels it has a extra thick low end with crushing mid range attack no other amp gives me that tone I had a Mesa boogie triple crown but the Bogner Siva with the Rev 3 just puts it over the top the Rev3 was like adding a turbo to a already really fast car and the Rev3 is a incredible pre amp making the Bogner turbo charged. 99% tone 100% Bad to the Bone,

Like the VHT/Fryette Pitbull, this gets what I call a splash crunch. It's like doing a high dive into a pool filled volcanic glass on top of a bed of lava. It's as brutal as crunch gets. It's like a Ferrari. It's expensive to own, is focused on doing one thing very well, and is for the few, the proud, the crunch heads. Personally, I don't need an amp that gets anywhere near this level of gain because I play with a different set of tones. A Plexi with my JHS AT-2 or Rat gets me where I need to be. But I admire the design and craftsmanship that goes into the Uberschall and everything the genius Reinhold Bogner creates. I've been a fan of his amps since I tried one around 1990. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a high gain, high quality alternative to Boogie and Soldano and doesn't mind the price tag. You certainly get what you paid for with these crunchboxes.

I've only owned one 100 watt and it was my JMP reissue stack in the 80s. But 50 watts is the sweet spot. I love how tubes react when cranked in 50 watts. The Scorpions/Schenker tone.

@RezaMatix4 жыл бұрын
man there are some pretty straight up ones on youtube already. the best success I have had thus far is the SM57 + Mesanovic Model 2 Ribbon into the Sound Devices Mix Pre 6. Thats all you are hearing here! I put the ribbon about 10 inches back directly facing the dustcap. the 57 is pointed right at the SEAM of the dustcap and cone, right on the grill cloth. they are then mixed with the Ribbon 3db lower. Make sure you adjust the waveform for the ribbon because it will be BEHIND the 57 in timeframe in the daw. you just have to scoot the ribbon mic waveform up so its phase coherent with the 57. then voila. Cut 35Hz out of the 57, dip 4k about 1db to ease up on the ear fatigue freq. on both mics. then put a limiter on the master buss and only have it barely touch the top of the transients. We dont want to compress but we do want to bring the overall level up to peak -1db rms. and there you have it. the simple recipe for my recordings here.
