the production model for various quality of life reasons. But the psychological impact of playing the proto the first time was incredible. That has stayed with me. I think the proto had more rubber band ish string feel, it was just bouncy and fun to play. the production model is juicy but more controlled/filtered.

Just picked up an EL34 Uber Ultra… so sick and versatile. Best amp I’ve ever owned/played through. Was the “Facelift” switch removed for the production model? If not, what does that switch correspond to on the new ones?
