👋 This new 2020 Cadillac CT5 is the replacement for the CTS! Check it out!! In today's video we check out the 2020 CT5! This is a very luxurious sedan and has a lot to offer! Great looking car. I currently have an 18 CTS and would trade it in for the CT5 in heartbeat, however....I think I am moving on from Cadillac. One big reason....No spare tire. Ridiculous. And not only do you only have a fix a flat kit (which, if you hit a pothole and gash your tire, it won't matter), it comes with run flat tires. They are horrendous. Bring back the spare tire GM!!

I currently have the CT5 2.0T as a loaner as my car is being serviced. One of the worst transmission I ever drove and it’s not quick at all. Underpowered.

Chad Johnson No it will not. This replaces the ATS and the CTS. The CT4 competes in a segment Cadillac has never competed in before with the Mercedes-Benz A-class.

Chad Johnson I don’t care what you read on some blog. Cadillac has confirmed that the new CT5 replaces both the ATS since the CT5 is the new BMW 3-series competitor and it also replaces the CTS but only pertaining to the Cadillac lineup. The CT5 will *not* compete against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Lexus GS, Audi A6, and BMW 5-series as the CTS previously did. It will NOT take the place of the CTS and compete in that segment. _Y’all_ are the ones who need to do your research...proper research this time.

CarGuy11 The Cadillac ATS was the brand’s direct competitor to the BMW 3-Series. The CT5 is now the new BMW 3-Series competitor from Cadillac therefore it replaces the ATS. It’s also the CTS’s replacement because it fills the void between the brand’s entry level CT4 and the full-size CT6. It’s replacing the CTS in the aspect of dimensions and available space since the CTS has been discontinued. It’s about the same size as a CTS but priced closer to the ATS.

CarGuy11 It’s actually slightly longer than the ATS, but that doesn’t determine which segment Cadillac is targeting or where it competes. Cadillac’s approach is to offer more comfortable or spacious interiors than the European and Japanese offerings. Regularly called “tweeners”, Cadillac’s sedans are taking a more spacious/practical approach with slightly larger vehicles that are similarly priced as their smaller competitors. You’re right, the CT4 replaces the ATS in the regard it is now Cadillac’s entry level compact sedan which technically makes it the successor to the ATS. As far as Cadillac’s lineup it _does_ replace the ATS. But it doesn’t compete in the segment the ATS competed in, it occupies a segment below that competing with the Audi A3, BMW 2-series, Mercedes-Benz A-class, etc.

From my experience with my new Cadillacs that break down after 300 miles (what do you expect for $70,000) I say if you buy this car, also buy a new small bed. You will have to put it at your dealer because the car will break down so much you will have to live there.
