I’ve seen nearly every review of this car. This is hands down the best review of the 2020 Cadillac CT5-V. Phenomenal job! I agree with what you said about the power trunk lid. That should be powered as well as power folding mirrors standard. I’m not sure if they are on 2021 models.

I own the CT5-V for 6 months now. I can verify that (0-60 mph) 0-100 kph is 4.4 sec. with launch control.
@MotorPressReviews4 жыл бұрын
So you saw my launch, where do you think our difference is from? I had no wheel spin and I just kept my foot to the floor the whole time. Obviously I was in Race mode, so what went wrong?
@alex.simantiras4 жыл бұрын
@@MotorPressReviews I think the difference is that I'm only using 93 octane pump gas and my car was reprogrammed by cadillac few months ago. The transition is way faster than before.
@MotorPressReviews4 жыл бұрын
Oh ok! Well, as you noticed, I did mention that with a tune and better gas it should become a monster! Are you enjoying it so far? I really liked it!
@wesleywalls75824 жыл бұрын
If it was a new car, it may have still been in its preprogrammed break-in mode.

Thanks for that Alex. I just test drove it and I'm seriously considering it, although I haven't seen anything about it being tuned.

Hey Jason, have you driven the new s5 or c43 amg? It's between Ct5-V, s5 and C43 amg for me right now. Any insight would be appreciated!
@MotorPressReviews4 жыл бұрын
They are all great cars! I would include the BMW M340i, as it would be my pick. Between the cars you listed, the CT5-V will be the most exciting one and best value for money, but the S5 is a very polished all-rounder and you can’t beat the prestige of a Benz. It’s hard to pick, comes down to personal preference and dollars. One thing is for sure, whatever you pick will be great 👍
@UkrainianPunk1804 жыл бұрын
@@MotorPressReviews Thanks Jason! I appreciate the advice. I'm staying away from BMW on the fact that where I live that's all that people drive for luxury. And I would like to be the black sheep on the road haha. This will be a difficult choice thanks again!

Why didn't they put the 3.6 litere V series motor that has 430 hp 🤔?

How noticeable is that slight 'pause' immediately heard/seen after upshifting? Do you feel it acts as a hindrance to the performance and enjoyment of this car?

In normal mode its very noticeable. In sport and on its much better.

Is this comparable or to the G70 3.3TT or is it too sporty? Magnetic ride is a huge advantage but curious how it compares. Interior is very drab sadly on this
@MotorPressReviews4 жыл бұрын
It’s a bigger car but price and spec are spot on. I would say it totally competes. And I would pick this, hands down!

The CT5-V was a big surprise for me, I loved it. It’s not as fast as the competition, but it sounds amazing which kind of compensates.

@@MotorPressReviews I will have to check it out. The interior looked like a letdown, but if its driving can redeem it, I'm definitely interested. Waiting for next year to see this updated and the updated G70 before I buy

The Blackwing is coming, so this isn’t a downside. Cadillac clearly could have handled the rebranding strategy better, but I can’t see how having the same tiers as the Germans is a downside for the consumer. More choice is always good.
@cisco90274 жыл бұрын
Just a little more power and this would be the compete package why do manufacturers stop right before they get it right needs just another few horses.
@MotorPressReviews4 жыл бұрын
A simple stage 1 remap should have you over 400hp. :) I even said it lol
@w41duvernay4 жыл бұрын
@@MotorPressReviews I don't know about that. Cadillac took programming steps on their cpu's to prevent modification on these generation engines. This engine was designed to make massive torque but dies out on top end. Which is why I have been debating getting a CTS v sport instead. The CTS cars seem to be a better car than these Ct5s.

Other testers use Racepak and Racelogic equipment that ignore 2-3ft roll off at the beginning. I use dragy that starts the second the car moves. That could also be it. I ve had some massive arguments in the Alfa Stelvio Quadrifoglio video where people claim the car is in the 3.x, I got mid 4s and that pissed them off. What can I say, this is why I show you the launch, so you believe me :)
@kalvingross552 жыл бұрын
Honestly this car sucks cadillac took a big step backwards for the 2020 models compared to the same price range for the 2019 cts v sport with 420 hp this car took a major dip. This was the top model for that year and the year prior was a 600 plus hp cts v that was at like 80k or something like that. And with all these chip fake issues they have inflated all the prices so much its ridiculous. It's going to be a major dump and don't over pay for a car that is going to drop so much in value. And this isn't no where near the performance of the previous years top model let alone the v sport model how? The 2021 blackwing is the best but it cost so damn much.

Why is the RWD 8,000 dollars more expensive in Canada? But in US it’s 3,000 less expensive than the AWD. Usually AWD is more expensive, so it doesn’t make sense it costing 20% less than the RWD.
@MotorPressReviews3 жыл бұрын
RWD is cheaper than AWD in Canada as well (I think $3000 cheaper)
