This is interesting to see. I just did an oil change on my 2013 RS. Totally different setup, but I still had to remove quite a bit of bodywork to get to what I needed too.

Hi Jim, thanks for sharing info of LED auxiliary lights. Do you think you can do a quick tutorial on how you installed them? Mainly how to wire them. Thanks
@JimsTrikeAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Hi Edward, the plug is already there, prewired for an LED Auxillary LED Light. My LED had one black and one red wire. The prewired plug is black and Blue. I just wired the black to black and blue to red. Works perfectly.

@@JimsTrikeAdventures I wonder if the male connector could be added to the light, then plug it in to the Spyder.

Glad you showed the lights, but tell us the name of them...where to buy them...link to get them.
How did you install the grill lights, I looked online for instructions. I ordered the lights, but I know if I need additional wiring. I have 2021 can am spyder limited and intend on to do the servicing rather than paying the dealership outrageous prices.

2 little screws to take off the little front plate. The connector is plugged into that plate just to hold it. I just cut the plug off and soldered the two wire to the new light. Fits right in. I did use some thin velco and held it in just in case it may come loose. Really easy

Where did you get the lights. I really love your videos. I have a 08 1800 and 1983 1200 Gold wing and a 1981 1100 gold wing. My dad and myself travel for almost most of my life all over. We took the last motorcycle trip together about 5 years ago .He's 85 and unfortunately lost his license. But again thanks so much for all you do. Keep the sunny side up my friend.

Jim, I have the light now, so I'm looking for the screws to remove the piece so I can get to the wire and make the install. I watched the oil change and still could not figure out how you removed the piece inside the cowl.

Very bottom front. May have to get on your knees to see. Two small screw and little plate come off, wire is plugged into that small plate. Exactly where I have my light mounted, that plat has to come off. Simple 2 screws.

It is impossible to see where the pin you pulled out of the brake fluid box.
@JimsTrikeAdventures3 жыл бұрын
It is tough to see any time. I got rid of the pin. Twisted 2 -19 gauge wires and taped them together. Simple in an out and holds the master cylinder in perfectly. That pvc pin is a terrible design.

Thanks for the video Jim, my initial question is were is the electrical hookup made? Lights can be found on eBay I believe.
@JimsTrikeAdventures4 жыл бұрын
When you take the 2 screws out of the plastic piece, the connector is in the back of that. I cut it off and just soldered the connections.

@@JimsTrikeAdventures Hi Jim, sorry I'm looking for the electrical connection point on the Spyder, sorry if I confused you. I appreciate your patience and feed back. Adding a separate fuse block and feeding directly off the batter is probably the best way to go, just haven't got that far yet. Cheers Alex

When you installed the light with Velcro was it at the right angle and not pointing too high for on coming traffic?
@JimsTrikeAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Velcro is on the top of the LED light and the other velcro is on the top as well on the Spyder. LED is about perfect, level with the low beams.

7281, 2nd oil change. Not quite 5K on the oil. I like clean oil. Change it every 4k on the Goldwing.

@@spyderingwithdandenise7064 Yes, 2 of them. I changed both to hex nuts, so much easier. One on the brake peddle side can be a booger to reach with the brake lever impeding it. Turn the nut around on the brake lever bracket and you can reach it a a much cleaner angle. I stripped mine first time and had to chisel it out. The went to hex bolts from LaMonster Garage.
