Not to mention the Charger is the Best selling RWD sedan sold in the USA, Beating Chevy Impala, BMWs and Benz. Jeep is the best selling MOPAR brand/ SUV , Also still the best selling minivan and Ram also pasted Chevy for 2nd place in pickup sales so I say they are doing well. I will say the chrysler 200 was a disaster.

Watch the launches carefully. It’s Needs something very simple upgraded or sorted out. The left front points way up while the right rear squats way down. I’m assuming a slightly stiffer spring rate or a shock is needed in the right. Or a slightly softer spring rate in the left rear. It’s bumping the right side of the wheelie bar out of the hole. And although I guess you can use the bar like a spring I personally foresee either safety issues with either how it’s going to come back down or wear from the constant force and pressure being put on the right side of the bar setup. (However I am no engineer, I’m just some amateur internet punk.)

Even a Modded Demon wouldn't get even close to this Drag Pak in the 1/4 mile. Chevy just made their crap stand up for a few 1/4 miles but the 727 is right there in racing to. My 69 Road Runner runs 8.98s in a 727 Torqueflight .

?? Cobra jet and Drag Pak came out within a Year of each other 2008 & 2009, COPO's were late to the show coming out in 2011. In 2018 The Drag pak won the World Championship, then it's regulations were changed and the Cobrajet won in 2019. The rules keep changing to keep the competition equal.

V10 Drag pak Challenger didn't have a Mercedes Rear. The NHRA controls the rules as to what they can run. No Professional drag racing class runs Independent rear suspension... I also don't consider any Import racing classes (Professional).

@@tomj4406 All the Drag Paks had Solid rear axles... I'm not sure which model rear was used for the older ones but the last few years they have had Strange rear ends. Stock rears in the "street cars" are susceptible to breakage during aggressive launches with serious power on slicks/DRs. Even with Crogenics treatment I've heard of Stock & Modified Demon's have be having issues...but again that was an Independant Rear, Not a Solid axle. It's the Street cars Heavy weight that breaks stuff. If the center diff was made of cast Iron...they would have any diff. issues. I've been looking to find out if the IRS diff in the Challenger is a Benz unit/or "who makes" .... it but there have been a few different ones over the years. Mopar doesn't make their IRS rears or automatic transmission anymore... So it's not really Dodge that makes the problem Parts (early automatics were Benz units, then they went to ZF... who makes transmissions for most european Luxury brands. Manuals in the SRT/Hellcats have been Tremecs...same as in mustangs, vettes, CTS-V caddy and Camaros. Early models had one V6, 5.7s with a 7.8 dia. ring gear Later they had a 8.5" gear Hellcat / Demon is said to have a 9.3" gear It's the Case and it's design that is the issue. Case material and thickness/support to be specific. It's almost always on a drag strip with slicks/DRs and Aggressive launches that the failures occur... My buddy has had a Hellcat since 2016 without any issues but he's not super- aggressive at the launch...but still can dip into the 10's. I talked to a guy that had a Dakota/manual that broke a Ford 9" rear while he was spraying a big shot of NOx...and that was with a little 318.

Strange axles are rly good. idk about quality copies, but the Ford 9", don't you have to run a cooler, bc they generate so much friction? the Mopar 8.75 and Dana 9.25 and the 9.75" stuff.. now those are axles! my take is SRT V8 cars shudda had a Viper rear, maybe tweaked a bit for 'normal' car specs and torsion bar front suspension, bc weight is lower down and further back than coil springs. At that point, a slightly beefed B body unidoby, Muscle era Mopar chassis and done..skip all the Brand X designs.
