2020 Dodge Charger SXT AWD: Does The AWD Charger Need A V8???

I have a 2016 Charger SXT/AWD which I bought new. There isn't a lot of difference between my car and the one in the flick, except mine has all leather seats. My car came fully equipped. Of the 25 or so cars I have owned in my 55 years of driving, this is undoubtedly the best all-around car I've ever owned. The only real complaint I have is the gas mileage sucks (@14 - 15 MPG around town). But, after the car ran out of warranty this past September, I changed out the chip and am getting @18 - 20 MPG with an added boost of @18 BHP. Well worth the $150 for a new chip! Trust me a V-6 with that kinda horsepower is plenty! And, if you're looking for a car that "feels" big, but really isn't, has great performance, and all the "bells & whistles" but in the 35 grand range, I would highly recommend a test drive! I opted for the RT V8 after renting an RT on vacation last summer. Originally I was going to buy the AWD V6 but love the stance of the RT and throaty sound of the Hemi. Both are good cars though and AWD is nice for those snow days. Cheers.

Nomo 4u v8 is only practical if you ate going to be towing alot of weight. V6 is plenty good. Wanna be car guys just wanna be on v8s nuts just to feel superior cause theirs has a little more HP and Torque.

I have a 2016 charger AWD with the 5.7 and yeah it’s fun but I don’t think it needs it if you’re someone who just wants a decent smooth driving car with plenty amount of speed that comes with the V6

The car has all of 11 miles on the odometer, and it's already been driven at 77 MPH, and here you are flooring it to do an acceleration test. This is exactly why I factory order all my new cars!

I'm in Canada and can only afford 1 vehicle and it has to be AWD. I've been waiting a long time for Dodge to offer 5.7 or 6.4 AWD option. I'd buy one today. Or. The 300. With same specs.

How long have you been waiting? because my winter car is a 2013 awd Charger with a 5.7L from the factory. They discontinued them but did offer a awd 5.7.

Huuugggeee upgrade! I used to have a 2016 SXT AWD but mine did not have paddle shifters. I used to love it until it started having issues and I found out the dealership I bought it from sold me a wrecked car. They did do the right thing though.

dan tran yes, I spoke to the sales manager and he tried to just fix it. I was not having it and spoke to the general manager and so he bought me out completely and put me in a truck that was basically brand new and they gave a me really good deal.

Fun fact, the current rear end of the Charger originated on the Dart. The Dart came out in 2014 with this style rear end, the refreshed charger came out in 2015 with the same style rear end.

I plan to make this my first sporty type car. love the look over cars like it like the mustang or camero. I'm coming from a 4 cylinder, 174 hp nissan rogue. I haven't gotten to test drive it yet though, so does anyone know how the 292 hp charger would compare? will i notice a big difference in the initial take off from 0-60? My rogue gets has a 0-60 time of around 9 seconds

It gets around 7.4 to 7.1 depending. But when I get this I plan to get a cold air intake and better exhaust so it will help that aspect and also make it sound better
