Because they believe the tiny difference that may or may not exist between an H-pipe and an X-pipe; on a street car, at that may make a tangible difference to their driving experience and it may or may not. There's A LOT of monkey see, monkey do in the car scene and folks don't want to chance the few bucks they have on something unproven or something that might disappoint them so they go for the sure shot.

What's funny is they are pumpin out these videos like hot cakes (which I appreciate) before total electrification. Funny thing is even when they stop producing combustion cars. The already existing ones will be heavily modified. People are going to be modifying like crazy. Because everyone will become obsessed with engine sounds as the roads will be too quiet from electrification and they will be obsessed with old cars as new cars are no longer coming out. Strong and massive cult following will emerge. It's gonna be weird and completely different than anything we've experienced.

Most people don’t come in and just say yeah cut the x pipe off they’re getting resonator and mufflers and shit. True dual anything sounds terrible.

X pipes add power as well so it makes no actual sense to straight pipe with no x pipe to just make less power, unless you just want the loudest most obnoxious “look at me” sounding car on the road, there’s no arguing it. X pipes make power and clean up sound. It’ll be just as loud, but higher pitched and less raspy. All day every day on any v6 or v8
