The prices of Honda CBR1000 RR-R SP and Yamaha R1M are totally motivating us to choose Ducati v4s

Well said. I picked up my 2020 V4 about two weeks ago. Have owned many makes of Japanese and European bikes... Very impressed with this generation! Leaps beyond other bikes I've owned and of course, big advancement versus a previous generation Ducati I still have (1198 fully set-up for race w/Ohlins aftermarket and triple/rear height suspension upgrades, full race exhaust, and Microtech ECU). The improvements can only be truly appreciated by throwing a leg over this 2020 V4 model. Amazing machine!

A review is forthcoming, but for the track I LOVE the new 6D ATS-1R (ATS-1, without the R, is the old helmet). Super light, comfortable, good field of view in a tuck, and the technology inside it is pretty cool.

I am genuinely curious: on a track day with weather conditions like that, what happens when a journalist downs a bike. How often do you see riders down a bike on press days like that and what happens when someone does? I'm sure motojournalists are more experienced than the average rider but it seems risky sending them out in torrential rain. Thanks for the review on such a beautiful bike!

Its hard to really push it 100 percent while riding in the rain. Maybe ride it when its dry to really get the feeling for it.

Loving the helmet view, were you using a Cambox helmet camera? Been looking into getting one myself
@TroySiahaan4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the Cambox Mecca 3. It's super convenient compared to a GoPro (which is primarily why I use it), but I don't think the video quality matches. Plus the GoPro has better options for audio. Cambox just announced version 4 and I'm hoping to get my hands on one of those soon.

For most riders who buy this bike the electronics are there to simply knock down the power of the bike. So....???
@2_Bike_is_Life4 жыл бұрын
It's not that simple. It's not a Suzuki A, B or C mode. It's all the conditional parameters that control power (lean, accel, off throttle, wheelspeed, etc). A lot more dynamics in play when you ride at different speeds, surfaces, conditions. Even amature riders can benefit. What appears to be a marvel is how the Ducati EVO-2 doesn't over-intrude, over predict and over adjust.
@blipco54 жыл бұрын
Frozen Patriot - Yes, I understand, that's why I said 'most' riders. And I don't race so I'm included. I'm old school I don't like any electronics at all. I have one bike that has ABS, I want to disconnect it. My other bike has carburetors. It's wonderful, turn it on and...nothing. 👍 No FI pump priming, no gauges sweeping through their range. It just waiting to be ridden. And that's what I do.
@2_Bike_is_Life4 жыл бұрын
@@blipco5 I'm old school too! Ha. But they didn't have the power-to-weight these bikes have back in the day. Ride safe.

Frozen Patriot - No, they certainly don't. I have a new Kawi z900 with ABS. It's pretty light and fast enough but my favorite is my ZRX1200. It's one of the first retro bikes but it really does feel like an eighties bike. It's pretty fast also. 🍻
