G'day Mr Chops. Great video and commentary. This is a beautiful machine. A modern day classic by anybodies standards. I love it.

Ari and Zack at Revzilla tested the 2020 V4S and a 2005 GSXR1000 on road and track. The GSXR had 55K miles, cost US$3000 and they spent US$4000 on suspension and refreshing brakes. The Gixxer was a second a lap faster.
@KiwiMoto724 жыл бұрын
I have a 2019 V4S and love it. The updated a few things with this model which is nice but I love mine. The front end takes some tuning for the track in my experience though. You need to really tweak the fixed suspension settings, and run it in fixed on the track not dynamic suspension mode. I also changed the suspension valves, and for oil. Its perfect now. Not sure if they fixed those front end issues on this model
@hectorallanrivera93343 жыл бұрын
Seriously considering a V4 myself, did you do anything for the heat emission issues?
@KiwiMoto723 жыл бұрын
@@hectorallanrivera9334 I haven't experienced any heat issues, but i always ride her in full leather and mainly ride her on the track. Its wonderful, but go see Dave Moss to get the front end dialed in. He i the horse whisperer of suspension :-)

Not being a fan of sportbikes: this sounds exactly like something I'd like for a sportsbike. Sporty but comfortable in its power. Nice features. Good shifter. Looks good. A nice power curve for anti wheelie. Really something to lean through corners and find boundaries with. Not a great fan of Ducati customer support and customisation leniency however

Which makes the best road bike the BMW or Ducati? Or which one would you choose if you could buy one? I’m thinking from your other video The Old Mans Sports Tourer that the BMW makes the better bike? I think it’s so hard as the BMW makes the better everyday bike to live with but lacks that soulful and special feel that the Ducati brings! In a perfect world and the money to have both would be perfect lol

Stunning bike but surely a license looser unless you hold it back all the time which surely takes some of the fun out of it. IE - you managed to get into 4th gear once for about two seconds - I never saw 5th and 6th in this video. Really do feel unless you do quite a few track days (with 25K bike😂) or live in Germany, you may not enjoy it as much as a 600 or say that Thruxton RS you had last week. These super sports litre plus are just wasted for UK road riding now. Thanks for the video; please tell me where your mesh jacket is from? Thanks
@LambChopRides4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are absolutely correct, I'm actually borrowing the V2 version early October and for my money that could be the perfect sized road bike. Actually more excited to try that on the road. Jacket is from Knox of course 😁😁 link in the description 👍

Great bike for the bike cafe willy wavers😂 Great bike for WSBK and BSB, bit expensive for the roads you were riding round on. As a bonus, no wheelies helps keep your license unless you'd like to just look at it in your garage as a piece off art!

No idea the amount of truth to it, but the marketing line here in Australia seems to be that they get the volume by bouncing the sound back at the rider off the ground. You get a good noise and it keeps the testing meters placed behind the bike happy.

2005 gixxer is not carrying around four catalytic converter's, weight gain from sound deadening, associated electronics and wiring harness also electronic restrictions due to sound regulations of euro3, euro 4 and euro 5. Journalists put out sensational sounding titles and the sheep follow without knowing the complete story. Noticed they didn't mention any of the above issues. The Ducati puts out more power per liter, has superior traction do to the modern suspension geometry and dampening. Once again, the extra power and suspension is hampered by governmental restrictions.

The complaints about torque limiting don't make a whole lot of sense to me. Josh Brookes' V4 is torque limited. Scott Redding's V4 is torque limited. Andrea Dovisioso's V4 is torque limited. Why do street riders complain about torque limiting when it's a proven asset to the most capable riders in the world?
