The reason the other channels don't talk about the inner workings is because they don't understand them. Mr. Banks has forgotten more about diesels than most people will know in their lifetime.

@@tylersmith7054 exactly!!! That's what important to me, not how many USB ports there are... TFLT keeps bragging about the fuel mileage of the turbo four cylinder Silverado, I keep commenting that my 5.3v8 Silverado gets the same exact fuel mileage so why get a four cylinder? They don't get it...

@@charliemagoo7943 not true, get a truck running clean and then add fuel you will gain power every time. It all depends on the purpose of the build. If fuel economy matters then the small power gain is not worth the extra fuel, if max power is the only goal then roll coal. My cat powered road trucks run clean, fuel is my money and the extra 20hp means next to nothing, my pickup has several tunes on the dial to run clean down the road or max potential when I need that extra few out of the old girl to get something done. @lashbera5 жыл бұрын
What I didn't really hear is why the 17, 18 and 19 Duramax engines were so plagued with problems and failures and how GM thinks this next engine can be dependable. Also, this engine still has the exhaust manifolds on the outside of the engine which means more exhaust plumbing to get to the turbo and more places for problems unlike the really cool ford 6.7 design that puts the manifolds inside the v where the turbo is anyway. I'm not convinced this engine is good but I do believe the transmission will handle the power unlike the Dodge.

i am glad that GM put so much attention on these new engines. I just wish that the interior team would have done the same.
