Your videos always give me a positive vibe. It's the overall atmosphere, your tone of voice and attitude, the room, the things you look at, etc. I love it. I'm a modest guy who happens to also love alternative brands, so instead of an iPhone I have a Xiaomi, a cheap pen because I always lose my pens, my keys, a small bottle of rubbing alcohol (usually ethyl) which I've had in my EDC for so many years, face masks (what times we live in!), liquid soap (because some WCs don't even have soap), and because I have kids, my bag also has crackers, mosquito repellent, Band Aids, crayons and bond paper for when they're bored, arcade cards, and a few other knickknacks. I'm also a bit of a cellphone guy because these things have become such an important part of people's lives and they're able to do so many things. They may be considered disposable electronics but they have come to define this era we live in, and future generations will probably look at it in a more positive way.

I've been a merchant marine for over 20 years, and though many say that particular spiderco knife is for the maritime industry, I've found them to be a bit lacking. The Case and Benchmade knife you have in this video are superb knives. The Case knife in particular is a fantastic knife for general use. The specific case knife you showcased in this video, it's beautiful. A perfect gentleman's knife and great EDC. Fantastic video TGV. You always teach me more and more about style and taste in a world where everything is disposable. I'm going to look into the box cutter knife for my own EDC upgrade. 👍

I have an uncle who is a thoracic surgeon. He once told me he could watch any man walk towards him and tell you which pocket he carried his wallet in. Because we tend to put huge wallets in a rear pocket and then sit on it. He told me that for your spinal health, always carry your wallet in your front pocket (it's also much more secure there!). So I carry a wallet that has a curved side designed to drop right into the point of your trouser pocket. I find them very comfortable and much easier to sit with! To add to my EDC, a knife of some sort depending on activity and location (grrrr! on UK knife rules! Yay! on Texas ones!), small light, keys, something to put coins in (I hate loose change in my pocket), when traveling about I also carry a calling card case for my personal cards (not phone or credit!) and, of course, the correct watch for the circumstances.

23 minute EDC and there wasn't a boring section in the video. Really great job! Usually it's convincing someone that a pen & flashlight are borderline essentially carry, so it's nice to see someone out there incorporating it and recommending they do the same. I'd like to add jewelry into the mix like a necklace but maybe in the future.

Very similar loadout. Gerber 420HC 30-001409 lockblade, one of several scratch-built Seiko watches, Carhart leather wallet. Carried separately (rucksack), spare eyewear, rain gear, a few ziplock bags, emergency battery for cellphone, some paracord and a lighter.

That little Olight is my favorite because it sits on the key ring and you barely know it’s there, but it’s bright enough for most needs. Had one battery blow up inside and they’re sending a replacement.

TGV! Welcome back old sport. Listening to your videos got me motivated to continue my watch collection. Before, my collection comprised of digi analog Timex Expeditions. Then my pride and joy was the military Timex 3 subdials Chrono with slide rule. These are hard to get know. Another fave is a black Timex diver with 3 subdial chrono. Two more Timex that have 3 subdial chrono and tachymeter. Next to buy is a black Timex Navi XL automatic diveresque military watch. But my pride and joy is my CITIZEN ECO drive ie light powered Blue Angel slide rule pilot watch. My motivation now is the Casio pilot watch with slide rule. And: Seiko SNJ025 arnie Seiko SNA411 Flightmaster Seiko SKX007 MAYBE the Seiko 5 black follow up to Seiko SKX007 Got to have at least a Swiss powered watch: Hamilton II Khaki King with metal bracelet At some future point, god knows when: Breitling Navitimer Before that i might sneal in an Orient Ray 2 Ravin. And a possible pride and joy: Seiko powered Neymar 1000m black diver watch. My goals for now. No rush. But goals whenever i can afford them. Thanks for inspiring me on my watch collecting quest.

Awesome video as usual TGV! Due to medical issues I have now been homebound since September of 2019 (oddly right around the time I started getting into watches and ultimately the Gentry). My homebound EDC's contain the following.. 1) At least one watch (I have also been pulling a Schwarzkopf more and more frequently) of which one is almost always my Rolex Date just 16200 in silver with applied Roman numerals....also just got my own Accutron Spaceview from your guy in Georgia. 2) A Xikar Xi2 cutter (I have many different ones) 3) A Butane torch (also have very many but I've been rocking the single flame one I got at BarnSmoker last year) 4) My custom Three stick alligator leather case. 5) At least three incredible cigars: Current faves are; Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection, J.C. Newman Julius Ceaser and The Foundation Tabernacle. 6) Decent fingernail clippers (I don't carry a knife but I can use this and with the file I can open most boxes making one unnecessary) 7) My classic Levi Jeans wallet that fits everything and is ok with being roughed up! Onward and Upward!!

Ruike S11 or Opinel number 5 if you want an amazing pocket knife which is legal to carry in the UK. They are useful tools and not weapons, if you feel you won't use it then you shouldn't get one but for my outdoors lifestyle and opening countless boxes at work it's a really helpful tool.

Oh bringing the EDC back. Very nice TGV. Hoping that you will discuss Cinema again in future videos. I'm thinking of adding a Victornox one handed trekker to my EDC. It's a good multitool that has a big enough blade so that it could be an EDC knife. Also have plenty of watches to rotate through lol.

If you want a step up pen-wise and would be interested in something German made, check out the Lamy 2000 series. I own the ballpoint version and it's fantastic. Pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

Too funny. I remember when your Karl Friedrik was thin! I see it’s gained some stretch. Just a good natured poke at your wallets waistline. I bought one six months ago based on your review and I absolutely love it. It’s been holding up well. The quality and style are simply amazing. I’ve come to realize how little I really need to carry everyday without wishing I could carry more. The extra space on my old wallets just accumulated things that I had no reason to keep. It easily accommodates everything I need on a day to day basis and with style! Thanks for recommending it. I appreciate it every time I handle it even after six months. As for knives check out the Maserin Italian made Atti in solid olive wood with no bolsters. Beautiful little piece that you can forget is in your pocket. Beautiful craftsmanship put into a small gentleman’s folder. S35VN steel so it will hold its edge. I can see you carrying one.

I like to carry a Bic multicolour pen (Love these so much) and a little notepad if I can’t take my journal and a Leathernan PS multitool and a key ring lighter. Had to use both the other day when my shoelace broke! Oh and my Carl Fredrick Swanfield card walllet...engraved of course!

Fan of the Parker since 1981, but if I may recommend a tactical pen it is the Schrade SCPEN9BK (Budget) and Tuff Writer Mini-Click full retro body and tip (higher end) - look slike aparker but is fantastic, in house mechanism. Life time pen. Great service too. I have 2 of them and the Schrade. Peace.

Hi TGV, i loved the video. One daily Carry suggestion for you. A hankerchief! With an additional suggestion. I carry a Mens hankerchief everyday, the main reason, is because I PIT some drops of essential oil, which has health benefits, as well as having a pleasant smell. I typically use 3 to 5 drops of lavender, which smells nice And is antibacterial. Just a thought. Thanks also. I have re-started collecting watches after seeing your videos. All the best, JJJL.

@@entertainme7523 sorry for delay, I usually have a cotton ‘chief and add an essential oil. Throughout the day I take it out Amd put it over my nose like I am blowing my nose but I am simply inhaling the oil. I fold the chief in my pocket so I try to reduce evaporation of the essential oil throughout the day. I choose different oils for different reasons. I choose lavender to keep me relaxed throughout the day, I use oregano oil these days as it has antiviral properties. I usually have a paper handkerchief if I actually want to blow my nose. Occasionally I will use my cotton handkerchief for this, but usually keep it for deploying essential oils. Most essential oil advice or experiments I do come from reading books, the essential pharmacy by Valerie Ann wormwood is my favourite. I hope that is helpful. Good luck to you. :-)

In the UK you pretty much can't EDC any knives other than a SAK type (unless your Job warrents it) so knife wise I have a Victorinox Huntsman wearing Dark Skallen scales (maybe one for you as it's Skulls) in a Tough as old boots case (because thats what I made it from), Generic wallet that may find itself launched into orbit as its popper sucks, usual keys etc, Nokia 6 (dont really do phones either) in a Case modded to look like its from BMW's M line (if they made one I'd buy it and you can guess my Car), M hat and either a Casio Royale or Pulsar WRC atm as I'm new to watches. Honourable mentions go to my 1967 Zorki 4 (just not been well enough to use it) my war looking backpack (my backs not up to it atm), Bronzish skull ring (skin doesnt let me always wear it) and my Stanley screwdrivers and a few other pocket tools, watchs will change as I'm new to the hobby and will mod and fix some when able.

My EDC: Seiko SNK809/ SNKL23 My Google Pixel 4 with a card pouch on the back that I put £20, drivers license and bank card in and my key with a Victorinox cadet attached. Sometimes raybans, sometimes earphones but that it. I try to keep minimalistic.

I carry my generic Levi's wallet, a benchmade arcane 490 (a good sit between tactical and dress. A gentleman's work knife if you will), my tungsten wedding ring, keys on a carabiner, and when not at work (in an airplane factory) I carry my very special Langdon tactical elite 92. Oh and my Samsung buds+, cant go anywhere without my music lol As for watches that changes a lot but most of the time either my islander all green013 or my steinhart green ceramic. These days I live in Japan, so my EDC has gone down quite a bit from when I was living in the US. I carry: Craft & Lore Port Wallet (with cards and cash, and appropriate ID) Wristwatch (often two, as I wear a lot of mechanical watches and usually back it up with a basic digital Casio F-91W on the other wrist) Hand sanitizer/alcohol spray Hand clothes (Often there are no paper towel dispensers here, and right now many air dryers are turned off to prevent COVID spread) Facemask (Worn, then a couple as backups for me or for friends.) Smartphone Pretty basic these days!

I wear a 39mm Steinhart Ocean One black ceramic on a black sailcloth strap, carry a carbon fiber and aluminum Keybar with a SOG key knife, a unique Craft & Lore leather bifold, and knives which are my biggest hobby - I carry a few Medfords, benchmade 940s, but most recently a Bemchmade Bailout in M4 has become my go to work knife. The streamlight you're using its not very brignt for the size, olight makes the baton wich is half the size and has a thousand lumens, a bit pricey but so worth it.
