2020 Fiat 500X Test Drive Review: Does It Hit The Right Marks?

To cater to American crossover buyers, #Fiat took the 500 hatchback and borrowed its name to create the #500X. It got updated styling and a new engine for the 2019 model year which now carries over into 2020. Fiat says it built the 500X to be fun to drive but does it hit that mark? We were sent a 2020 Trekking Plus trim for a week so we could find out.

I think I have watched about all of the reviews for this current 500. Interesting he mentions the second “glove box” but doesn’t show you. I do agree about the seats, we took ours straight to an upolstery specialist and they trimmed the side and bottom bolster foam and added memory foam. That helped alot. Our Range Rover has the same problem so it goes next. Comfy seats are an elusive feature. These people like being on video with their unique personalities, but few have taken their time to really read up on the specs. Better to include clips from a previous model review for comparison to make the point, than their quirky off the cuff opinion. How about putting it up on a lift so we can see underneath? How about explaining the jacking points? Or how the vehicle can and can’t be towed? This is not a car for towing behind your RV. Why prattle on about the dash color which we can plainly see, show us what we can’t see. I have had two 500 Pop, I called them a Ferrari for beginners. In fact I have driven two Ferraris in Italy and they were not that great. Our friend Ornella in the Alps of Italy has a 500L Trekking with the diesel, another great car. Fun cars and you could still get 8 ft 2x4’s in them. We bought a 2019 500X Trekking from the dealers loaner fleet. Sad it isn’t a stick, but my wife is happy because now she can drive it. It’s a good car, nice to drive. Hauled 2x4’s in it yesterday.

Hello U.S.A to really enjoy a Fiat 500x or 500lcross come to Europe. I'm a American who lives here in Germany. I Drive a 500lcross with 120 hp. Stop testing the automatic. To enjoy a Fiat (500x or 500lcross)try the 6 gear manual transmission. You'll be Happy you did.

You do know you can have the speed in the centre on the digital display? No thought not. In one mile per hour increments. Is that precise enough for you. It does not lean. How can it lean if the suspension is so stiff. Mini countryman is not the drive that the 500x is its boring and loud. Lastly. You are unbearably lame with your excuses, you just don't like the Fiat brand. Simples. But that's fine it is better than anything America produces.

Hes right tho it needs to be better....its not all bad but maybe fiat should design some sedans to get it back on track and but dodge engines in them...an Italian American engine crossover
