Ford left out the Rear Side Marker Lamps on the new Explorer, instead relying on a bit of the rear taillight. These lights are useful, I avoided an accident on an obscured dark road because of them. Front sides amber, rear sides red are required in the US and Canada. They prevent tens of thousands of accidents per year. Not a place to skimp to save a few dollars FORD!

@@Carterthielftw_ That's true, and since I wrote that, I've learned that Ford is selling the Explorer in Europe, where those tight#$$es who claim to be advanced on safety, never adopted side marker lights. Probably, just because the US & Canada did it in 1968. They're not as stringent on American imports in some places; and in others, they either disconnect the bulb or also replace them with a clear lens. They do require cars with them, to change the rear markers amber, which makes no sense, since the red taillight is also there. So, obviously Ford just removed the Explorers rear, proper side markers all together. It doesn't really make sense, why in the rest of the world, they're more concerned with having a turn indicator on the side of the car; whose only benefit, is for a someone that's almost to the side of another car changing lanes. They probably wouldn't see that car's blinker anyway.

the interceptor uses the turn signals as daytime running lights. The civilian model has a strip of white LED lights on top. There is a setting in forscan to activate the turn signals as DRL's, but it doesn't currently work properly. There's talk on some forums of people interested in exactly that.

The factory lighting options include. -whelen microns in the grille -soundoff mpower lights in the headlight area -Headlight wig wags -whelen vertex in the fog light area -whelen microns on the mirrors -whelen ions in the rear side cargo windows -whelen ions in the rear window -lights above the license plate area (idk what brand) -whelen microns on the trunk hatch (visible when lifted up) -Whelen vertexes in reverse lights -custom spoiler mount lights

Oem locations do easily wire in your own lights is a location in the headlight area (side) for a hideaway, cutouts for microns in the grille and a twist and lock area for the whelen vertex in the reverse light.

the new 2020 explorer police is still column shifter?!?! so, I don't think this is the electronic transmission like civilian model in 2020-future. In 2011-2019 model they use the same 6f55 transmission no matter the 3.7 or 3.5 ecoboost which is interchangeable but some mods is needed.

Collum shifter was used because of muscle memory reasons. It’s a automatic tho.
