Sure Ford has its roots in the US, but Models for the European Market, like the Fiesta and Focus are actually designed and developed in Cologne Germany. This is also the HQ of Ford Europe and production Center for the 1l Ecoboost Engines. The Focus and the bigger Ecoboost Engines are produced in Saarlouis Germany. Ford has deprived you of the Focus because they want to shift to only SUV Models. But here in Europe the demand for small City Cars and Hatchbacks is alot bigger than in the US, so they need to keep the smaller cars.

Had the the mk3 st and the mk3 RS ,loved the mk2 RS but couldn't afford one at the time but that mk4 is minging ,ok nice wheels and nice rear end and ok from the side but the front is actually minging Can see where they got there styling from (hyundai) but even they did a better job lol Just hope the new rs 🙏 actually looks like it's got something about it

Yep, that's a faulty protector. I work for Ford's technical support and they fail like crazy because of a weak spring used in the mechanism. Ford is already developing a new design with a stronger spring, but it will still take some time until it is available to be ordered and replaced. I doubt that Ford will run a field service action to replace those for free, though they should considering the failure rate.

Are you referring to the previous generation Focus' powershift dual-clutch automatic? That problem has been fixed by the all-new 8-speed automatic option in the regular Focus. The new Focus ST has a great 6-speed manual or a new 7-speed auto option. The previous generation Manual Transmission didn't have the problems of the old automatic

I have a 2013 SE, had the dealer replace the "clutch pak" with the latest version (done under warranty), put 30K miles on it since the upgrade, car runs SWEET (for an automatic). Yes, I miss the "third pedal", but the "XYL" can't drive a manual, she HAD to sign off on the purchase. I wish I had stayed single! Live and learn!!
