My Dad had a 1999 Volvo V70R in electric blue and that thing was a beast! The turbo lag was insane but when that turbo kicked in god dam was it fast. I got caught driving it in Spain at 255km/h just 1 week after passing my test and the police thought there must of been something wrong with the speed gun as there was no way a Volvo could possibly go that fast! So I got away with it 😂 Luckily it wasn’t in the Sweden or the UK where police used than as they were so fast and capable 😅

I'll admit... I was a tad worried at first, as the throttle understeer looked to be pretty bad. But you can tell that, as the tires warmed up, the torque steer became much more manageable. This car looks to be VERY well sorted, and quite the little monster. I hate we never got the Mk2 Focus in the US...

The MK2 is the best out of the 3 of them. The MK1 sure it’s a nice car but they just went wild with the MK2. Not only does it have the best engine, also the styling and colour choices. Prices don’t lie, pretty sure MK2’s demand more of a premium than the MK3 despite it being much newer. Such a shame they went back to a boring 2.3 4 pot in the MK3. Nowhere near as special.

@@vichope6408 It looked like the owner flicked 1 of the centre console switches once Misha mentioned about the engine over temp warning. Given it had a number of non-factory switches, it wouldn't surprise me if it had a more aggressive coolnig fan mode i.e. like a sort of 'hot lap' mode or something along those lines.

@@vichope6408 It didnt... The original gauge will stay centered until 115°C and Warning will appear at 124°C ... All way too late. It Just Looks okay, but it isnt. The engine is rated for ~105°C

This one with 400bhp is far far faster than the so called 4 cylinder 537bhp one from the UK featured last year. Great lap and this 5 cylinder sounds glorious, pulls well and looks a realistic 400bhp.

That 5 cyl sound. It's so unique, especially through a nice exhaust. Now I just need to get myself the v70 I have been wanting. Finding something that isn't clapped out in the USA for a P2 platform is freaking impossible. USA folks don't maintain their cars properly. I did however, never know that Ford offered the 5-cyl in Europe in the Focus.

As a Focus Mk 2.5 driver (1.6 Zetec TDCI, child's play compared to this) this was really nice to see! The temp getting too high is relatable hahahah Bought the Focus after seeing the RS500 in Malta for the first time and it's always been the car of choice when playing NFS MW (2012) and Forza Horizon

No. Both mk2 Focus ST and RS are FWD. The mk3 Focus RS is AWD.

I've been drooling over that gen Euro RS since they came out. I was stuck with an SRT4 for 9 years, with small mods to it. Closest I could come to that Slime Green beauty! I've got a facelift 2009 focus St Mk2 and yes these 5pots are very underrated.They are absolute monsters not to be messed with!!! The sound is very aggressive it's like driving a powerplant 🤯🙆🏻

I had the same base engine in a volvo s40 twenty years ago. 225hp I think it had and 320 NM from 1800 to over 4000rpm. Something like that. That was pretty quick in those days. And I had a company gas card. Luckily so, since it guzzled 20 Liters or more when driven fast. I loved that car and would jump at the chance to drive it again today just for fun.

I find it a bit strange that with 9 degrees outside temperature the car is overheating... I drive my Evo here in Cyprus with freaking hot weather at the track and it never overheated... Alu radiator and 68deg thermostat though. Other than that the Focus seems to be handling great!

The temperatures dropped really quick once you let off like less than 30 seconds not even 20 I think. Maybe just needs some fresh coolant or a good clean of the radiator or something because it seems to have been working very well, just couldn't quite keep up. A lot better than most subarus, at least(sorry subibros)

Absolut nicht ringtauglich. Bei 10°C Außentemperatur hat der 120+°C Wasser. Die Wassertemperatur bewegt sich erst ab ca 115°C aus der Mitte... Der Motor kann auf dauer ca 105. Die Warnung kommt bei 124°C. Die Öltemperatur mal gar nicht beachtet. Wer den kauft, kauft auch probleme😅👌 Und all das bei der Außentemperatur und 8er BTG Pace🙈

@TurboTsallo Ich hab unglaublich viel Wissen und Tipps für dieses Auto verteilt und helfe auch immer gerne weiter wenn man fragt. Dieses Auto ist in der Szene auch sehr bekannt, das weißt du selbst. Und wenn man Ring unter 8 fahren will dann reicht eig nichts was man von der Stange kaufen kann. Wir entwickeln am Auto, insbesondere der Kühlung sehr sehr viel und schon sehr sehr lange.

That’s coolant temp and if he doesn’t have a big oil cooler on that car it will have absolutely fried the oil by that point. The stock RS one really isn’t sufficient for hard track use.
