Back in 2014/2015 when I worked for Penske logistics we were testing Prototypes for freightliner it’s the crash mitigation system when you set your Cruise control it will keep you at a certain distance and the system will Apply the brakes if you get too close to a car or the car slams the brakes on in front of you what happens with the crash system is if you get into a bad front end crash it locks the system and breaks so you can’t move

The reason for no cabinet behind passenger seat is it set up for a dorm fridge. Go to Walmart n buy a dorm fridge. Also it's a automated truck. It's just like your old standard just no clutch pedal n no big stick. It still uses a clutch pack n is operated by your break pedal.

I drive a 2017 freightliner cascadia & it has no power door locks as well. Was told it's dog proof, lol. When you get out to adjust your trailer tandems & your dog jumps up in your seat & looks out the window he won't accidentally lock you out.

Hello , I have a question for ya ... my 2019 Peterbilt 579 has a sub woofer under the bed and makes the stereo sound amazing , how is the sound system on the 2020 Freightliner and where's your fridge ?

My 2020 has power locks on the drivers door, but NOT one in the sleeper birth, so at night I have to get out of bed to recheck the doors rather than just pressing a button.

@@oBeYoPtIcZ not my style bro , the closest ill go to a classic is the pete 386, i had my boss W900L for a week and i was just depressed in that thing 😂😁 even my boss hates it sometimes to get in to places , we do flatbed and were in a bunch of places i can get in long hoods r almost impossible to get into, if not they can't get in, wheel base n turn radius and lack of view classic cant compete with new models.

Putting the jaw release next to the slider looks really dangerous if you're not paying attention. You could go to slide your trailer wheels and accidentally drop the trailer on the ground! Oops!

They don’t release if the air cables are connected to the trailer. Probably to prevent exactly that

I drove a 2019 Freightliner cascadia day cab for about a year. The most rough riding truck next to a Freightliner cabover I ever been in. In less then a year the mirrors were shacking. I wasn't impressed

The mirrors vibrated to the point to were cars look like a little dots behind you. Bad radio bad transmission bad engine. If you came across a pothole if you don't have your seatbelt on you'd be launched out of the truck

I haven't watched the whole video so I might be wrong, but there is usually a restraint system for team applications. If you are in the bunk at 70 mph, you should be restrained.

These newer Cascadias' have very sharp pointed overhead glove boxes. If left open when parked ---it creates a hazardous for a driver as it is head height. It's understandable that this was designed to be stylish by someone who has never driven a truck before !!

Don't delete it new, they're VERY reliable since 2014 and you'll void warranty. My 2016 truck literally has been more reliable than any of my pre Emissions trucks were. Amazing!

Not much at all different than the 2018 I was in which I really liked. I like how the fleet computer (qualcom thing) was installed with the wire going right in the dash instead of hanging in the way going to the passenger side. Did it come that way or did you do that? Very nice!

No power locks when the truck was delivered it might have come with key fobs. But owner ship probably thinks your going to loose them lol this way you have to lock it manually saving the company mega money for all driver lock out charges still no fridge that sucks my company truck is band new 2020 cascade also but its cam loaded just be glad it doesn't have a moron speaker in it that goes ahhhhhhh every time you go over the painted lines that would make you go nuts ahhhhhhh ahhhhhh parking lot s ahhhhh owe i had a rental once ahaha lol

Trucker Al Automatics normally have no more than 5 gears. Ahutoshifts have from 10-18 just like their standard counterpart. OEMs generally don't put automatics in class 8 trucks. They are put in buses and class 7 trucks like garbage trucks for example. The actual proper term for an autoshift is AMT for automated manual transmission. Automatics and AMT/AutoShifts are entirely different.

Overpriced piece of Junk. I own 2018 I been having all kinds of problems with electronics and the automatic transmission. And no freightliner knows how to fix it . Some dealers do not honor the warranty. I still ended up paying 500 usd for transmission problems. A week later another break down. This truck only have 100k miles. You'll go from all the downtime.

Mine has power locks and the auto unlock when you shut the door so that you can only lock the door with the key.
