Hi, thanks for the review and you are absolutely right. Just got my 2021 GLE a few weeks ago. I like the sound of the BURMESTER system but I'm missing a proper SUB. The sound is very clear and high quality, but the lows are not very low. I had a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the HARMAN KARDON system (SUB in a boot). IN higher volumes the bass was shacking the whole car. But it wasn't very high quality sound. This other way round. No low bass sounds (only my feet is vibrating) but its very dynamic, crystal clear even in low volume. I prefer the BURMESTER any day.

I just got one today. I was listening to 2000s rap (hs years, lol). On some of the songs with the 3d audio, i heard subtle background noises i didn't know where there. One of them had a faint fire truck sound (i listened to it again to make sure), I looked back in my rear view. The vocals are so crisp. Listened to some bluegrass after, and it feels like I'm at a show. Only thing i'm torn on is the subs in the firewall. Makes you feel it in your feel. Its cool, but It's defiantly going to be a love/hate feature.

You should test the new burmester high end three dimensional system with the rotating tweeters and the dual front bass subs combined with a four hundred watt truck mounted sub curious too hear the bass from that... ?

What would you prefer for Porsche cayenne sound system Bose sound system with 710 watt or burmester with 1455 watt and does the 1455 watt sound system has more bass than the 710 watt sound system

@@hassanouf2380 yes, but the footrest is not insulated or damped, it vibrates my foot, my foot is numb after getting vibrated for a hour. I can’t believe no engineer noted this.

It’s not worth the extra 6-7 grand I’ll tell you that lmao, this is already more then enough as a speaker system. The bass is solid without a sub, don’t listen to what other people say abt the bass. Just turn it to the max and it vibrates the whole car depending on the song/amount of bass it delivers

There are two subs in the car what he means by no extra subwoofer is that their is not an extra sub to provide extra power

Just got a 2021 GLE 450 with Burmester surround sound system. This has to be the worst sounding system I have ever heard in a car. my wifes Kia Sportage sounds way better. I run a professional Recording studio so might be more sensitive than most but it is embarrasingly bad. Ruins what otherwise would be an amazing car

I agree it sucks. All mid bass boom. No real bottom below 150 Hz. Very disappointed. Only way to get presence on vocals is to really increase mid and high. Can’t believe this guy is raving about it.

@@spewgilist hey bro Just got my car back from dealership. There is an MBUX and sound system update which makes things much much better. Hit me up if you need some more info. I have spent some time dialing the system in now and it is 1000 times better. Still not the best system I have heard but now not the worst. That title was help by the same system before the update

I also have a 2021 GLE450 and couldn't agree more. Worst sound I've ever heard. My 2019 Ram Limited puts it to shame.

Good sound system for opera...and thats about it. Sound system really sucks on the GLE. I got a 2021 53 amg with the same sound system...What a terrible sound. I regret not getting the very high end system. BMW`s HK system is way better

If you say BMW’s HK system is way better that says a lot, cause the HK system is trash

@@dmeirinhos89 depends on the BMW you had too. HK on 3,4,5 series will not be close to the one in the 6 series or X5-x6. I had a 3 series, a 5, 6, x5, and X3. The 6 series and the X5 were good.

I just bought the 2021 GLE 63 with standard burmester system. Worst crap I’ve ever heard in a luxury car. Bass is blah. Sound is extremely cloudy. Mids and highs are distorted. My Range Rover system destroyed this thing. Now I have to spend more money on decent Amps and speakers for a 140k car. Smh

@@qkkarbassy164 i know. i was surprised they didnt put their high end sound system on the 63s. The only difference between 53 and 63 W167 is the engine and muffler... And the $40000 difference in price.
