The woofers in the Burmeister systems are built into the floor/footwell area unless it’s a CLA or A class or GLB or GLA. Mazda did the same with the Bose in the new Cx-30 and Mazda 3

I mean honestly, I have the same burmester system in my AMG GLE 53 and it’s really good. For not having to pay any extra for the “standard” burmester system it does a really good job, best system I’ve ever listened to in person. However the almost 7 thousand dollar price point for a car speaking system is honestly ridiculous. I understand it’s a very very good system but the price point is not there, especially on a car that’s already costing 80k+. Just shows how they squeeze every cent out of you.

V8, congrats that you have an opportunity to get such a car! Two questions: - On a few videos with GLE with this sound system, I see how all speakers glow in the ambient, internal color, and I want to ask - do you can disable them on an individual basis? I ask because on a few videos, these lights, especially from the speakers on the driver and passenger, reflect in the side windows, and to my opinion, they are really distracting reflecting in the glass of the windows. - You get AMG with propose, and this allows you to get more power, but what is your opinion when you drive it on a normal, comfort mode? Is this still a little bit harder than a normal SUV? From other videos, it seems like it is unlike you on a boat, and the car feels every bump on the road...

@@vasiovasio thank you haha! I appreciate it. To answer your first question, I’m not too sure if you can disable only the speaker ambient lighting. However, you are able to adjust the brightness of the ambient lighting just like how you can change the color. I wouldn’t know how to change the speaker lighting since mine doesn’t have the 3D system which includes the glowing speakers. And for your second question, yes it is still VERY comfortable even in regular comfort mode. The car only gets really stiff and harsh when you put it into the sport modes. The suspension can get really firm in those modes however the bumps you don’t even notice in comfort mode. Very good air suspension system so don’t worry about the comfort too much, because it’s all around really good ride quality :) it’s definitely way more comfortable then the BMW X5 and Q7

Hey there, the automatic sound level adjusts the frequencies of the music so you can hear it better over the road noise therefore altering the original sound intended by the artist... for unaltered pure sound leave off George

I used to own a 2020 GLS 450 but until an accident happened I've managed to get a 2022 GLS 580 and it has the 3D High-End Burmester system. It's definitely noticeable since coming from the 450 obviously. It seems to be a little more better and slightly more clearer and I love it compared to the base system once you've tuned the EQ very slightly and have 3D on. TD;LR: It's very nice to have but honestly pretty crazy for $6,000 for an audio system. Better off with the base Burmester if you don't want to break the bank.

I really enjoyed your review of this sound system. I have the very same vehicle in right hand drive down under in Oz. You probably would have given it a 9/10 if you shifted the sound focus to the front seats only. It's a game changer. Still a very good thanks and 👍 I'm lucky enough to have an SL63 with the Harmon Kardon and maybe it's the small cabin but I think the sound system leaves the Burmester a little more to be desired Anyhow I learnt a few tips so again 👍 for the video Cheers Scott

Looking at a GLC with the same specs (590 watts 13 speaker Bermester) and a GV70 with the lexicon…is this a clear a winner? Do you think the two bermester systems are similar between the gls and glc with the same specs?

Any thoughts on disconnecting the driver’s side woofer and installing a driver somewhere else? The vibrations into my feet are driving me crazy. I’ve never experienced anything like this it’s really annoying.

Yeah throw that "auto-adjustment" out the window!!!...:) I think the system has more "depth" with it turned off also with a little more definition between the frequencies. It's certainly good enough that I don't think I'll consider paying thousands more for the "upgraded" system, thanks!

Would it be possible at all for me to upgrade my standard CLS 2020 sound system to the premium 13-speaker Burmester sound system with all the right parts? I have found a full CLS burmester sound system on eBay with all the subwoofers etc. that seems like a goos option. But would it be possible to update my software to integrate all the burmester sound system options? Thanks in advance

If you have money, it's worth it. If not, don't. There is a noticeable difference and more clear bass and clear sound from the High-End but the Base Burmester is decent enough.

Nate from Daily Motor here! The reason the revs keep falling is because this Mercedes is equiped with "Sail Mode" where the engine actually turns off when it's coasting to save fuel.

Mercedes-Benz's have a "sail" feature which turns off the engine while coasting to save fuel. It's only on in some drive modes.

I have heard porches and mercedes burmester sound systems and I think that meredes has more "beautiful" sound whereas in porche the sound gets way louder and has more bass.🤨
