From Best Limited Series, to Best Actor, to Best Drama, to Best Musical or Comedy. The stars were out tonight in this Awards show that may not mean a ton in the grand scheme of things but it is super fun to celebrate when my pick wins lol Who were the winners?

arthurcurry2003 Pesci’s subtle acting was on another level imo. Without saying anything, he gave off a sense of urgency and intimidation. I loved Pitt’s performance but felt as if it was Brad Pitt on that screen

In my opinion I think Joaquin definitely deserved it, his acting and portrayal of Arthur Fleck was amazing and he also lost 52 pounds for that role, which I think is dedication.

Toy Story 4 felt like a sequel, with some forced parts in the story and an ambiguous moral compass, not to mention too many characters that didn't get justice and a rushed arc that concludes the saga in a way that makes Toy Story 3 pointless.

Big Wins here wow 1917 didn’t expect it to beat Joker but it must show how incredible that film is and it might be a huge hit at the Oscars congrats to Sam Mendes winning. Missing Link Wow! Missing Link wasn’t better, I guess it wasn’t a sequel to previous winning films, and they wanted to reward originality and the stop motion movement. Was pleasantly surprised by Taron winning Actor, but i think the globes is as far as he goes because of their split category. Equally shocked at all the Netflix movies being snubbed hard.

The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems were completely snubbed at the golden globes! Seriously!? Lighthouse is my favorite film of the year and Uncut Gems is in My Top 5 favorite films of the year! I mean come on! Hopefully Oscars will notice these 2 incredible films! Even tho I have small doubts that they will give them some Nominations at the Oscars. Sandler deserves an Oscar Nomination and also the Cinematography in Uncut Gems also deserves an Nomination and same goes for Willem Dafoe for best Supporting! and Robert Eggers for best director for The Lighthouse! Pleasantly surprised that 1917 won for best picture, and Sam Mendes won for best director! It was my second favorite film of the year, and I think those wins were truly deserved! It's also nice to see my 3rd favorite film of the year, Joker, getting a lot of recognition with its score and Joaquin Phoenix 's phenomenal performance! Seeing how these 2 films won big here, while Irishman didn't win anything, it seems likely that 1917 and Joker have a higher chance of winning Best Picture at the Oscars this season! I had a feeling of this back when De Niro wasn't nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role in the Golden Globes, but this makes me even surer! Unfortunately, I feel like my favorite film of the year, Ford v Ferrari, could be totally snubbed at the upcoming Oscars! The film is praised in every single aspect (Acting, Cinematography, Directing, Sound), but I feel that the competition is too intense! Bale was definitely fantastic in the film, but he just won't be able to compete with Joaquin or Driver, especially the former. Same with Mangold, who I really want, but doubt if he could, be nominated in Best Director. This film's most likely chance to win at the Oscars is Cinematography and Sound Editing/Mixing, but I also have a feeling 1917 will take home those trophies as well! Still, I'm glad that 1917 and Joker won big here! If I were to predict Best Picture at the Oscars based on these wins, the Top 3 would most likely be Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, 1917, and Joker! Also, Rocketman did quite good here with its song and Egerton winning. Could Egerton sneak his way into one of the nominees for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Oscars? Btw, great reaction Austin! Had the same positively surprising reaction you had when Mendes and 1917 won!

Yes Fleabag was deserving of EVERY award on the comedy side, it's that good! Wonderfully written - it's funny, touching, sexy and romantic at times....you can literally binge all episodes of both seasons in less than 7 or 8 hours, check it out!

Biggest Shock: Missing Link. THAT’S the Laika movie to win awards?! The other ones are all so much better. I’m still happy an original movie won Happiest Shock: Taron Egerton. I don’t like biopics that much, but man, he gives an incredible performance Other Happiest Shock: 1917-best Drama. YES! I preferred Marriage Story, but 1917 was insanely and expertly crafted Bummer Moment: QT-screenplay. Boo. Baumbach and Joon Ho had some of the best screenplays of the decade. I like QT, but 😑 Expected bummer moment: Rene Zellweger. She was also good I guess, but it is more impressive to play somebody original and set their own quirks. I know that goes against Egerton, but he seems different. Favorite expected moment: Akwafina, she killed it. Ana de Armas was great as well tho. Also score. I loved that score so much. Joker deserved the awards it won, but I would be bummed if it won anything else.
