2020 Hardstyle Kick Tutorial (from scratch) by Yhimself in FL Studio

In This tutorial i show you how i make a hardstyle kick from scratch.
I also show you how you can drastically change your kick by editing it and layer it with itself or other kicks you`ve made.

@YHIMSELF It’s time for a 2024 kick tutorial. Please make one on how to make a NC crunch kick using only 1 layer from eq and distorting Drumazon. Would love to see the whole process on how to make this kick. Please 🙏

@Yhimself, The phasing you got from distorting the high-end in Patcher, may come from FabFilter Pro-q. You're sending the original un-equalised sound through, while above you are distorting the high-before distortion and after distortion with fabfilter as equalizer. On the bottom of fabfilter there is "Zero Latency". You can switch that to natural phase or linear phase. Linear should resolve the problem but all 3 sound different so it can add nice variety or phasing issues of course. For cutting EQ btw, I prefer the clean linear phase eq setting. Also(!) The option to switch to Linear Phase is also in Parametric EQ 2 which I newly found out. On the bottom of it, in a circle with the letters "LIN". 2020.. Why bother writing to this? I didn't know it for years lmao xD so maybe you didn't either or some other fellow viewers. Have a good one and thanks for the helpful Vid. There are some good techniques here :)

How did you manage to activate Venm? I bought it a long time ago but the servers went down and after reinstalling windows I can't activate my serial anymore.

It`s actually running in demo mode, but the main distortion algorithm still works in demo mode. I bought it many years ago aswell, but i dont think i am able to activate it unfortunately

@@Yhimself it's such fucking bollocks of them to piss off without giving people who own the plugin a way to activate the plugin in offline mode. Or just releasing the full version publicly for free. I wasted my money on a key that doesn't do shit so I just instead never use Venm. There are other great distortion plugins out there too, have you tried Misstortion?

@@martinentertainment734 Thanks a lot for the advice Martin . But a lot of producers out there are giving out there creations like a sample pack and most of the new producers are using them . I am sure you must be using it too just in case if you are a producer .

I use sample packs, but not for kicks or fx, sound design is one of the most creative parts of producing, and when creating/ practicing on it yourself, I'll get better at it. I didn't mean to be a D about it... But this is a tutorial, so u can basicly get this kick, by following the tutorial from start to finish.

Martin Entertainment I get both sides and it’s definitely important to make your own kick however when starting having already made kicks to help make tracks and focus on making actual songs rather than sounds design is important. When I was starting out if I didn’t have access to kicks there’s no way I’d be as progressed in production as I am. But since this is a tutorial for a kick it is quite odd to be asking for the kick rather than learning.
