Rider since 1963. Saw the Great Escape with Steve McQueen and was hooked. First HD 1966 Police Special bought in 69 for $800 bucks. Took the saddle off and rode on a pillow to high school before I saved enough to buy a cobra seat. 5'8". The dyna reminds me of my 1980 Fat Bob.After an hour of riding our butts were so sore we had to stop and walk around. Price was $5400/tax license out the door. It was an uncomfortable scooter and major problems with electrical ignition. Got rid of it for a loss with less that 4K miles. In 1998 went to The Cycle Barn in Lynnwood Washington. Tested a new Fat Boy and reminded me of the Bob and was turned off. Jumped on the 1500 CC Valkyrie and it had so much power it immediately had my respect. Scared me a bit. $14K compared to $18K with bad memories. I sold the Honda and wish I hadn't. That scoot never let me down. I cqn't remember how many break downs with all of my HD's iv'e owned. Do you remember the runs where someone drove the pick up when the HD's broke down? Did you know the Seattle ferry system ferries have machine shops in them? One of the machinists built me a part while crossing. I now own a 2003 92 C Victory. It's better than any HD I've ever owned. Hoping Polaris brings them back. I'm enjoying your vids copper:) Head to Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho for some great rodes. I lived in Jax & Orlando totally 8 years. There's no comparison in the beauty. I will never forget cruising along A1A from Jax to St. Augustine on one of my FLH's. If you do make it to the Great Northwest, North Cascades Highway around July or August is when to go. My first home in Jax was $14K Cost for scoots these days are ridiculous. That's why HD and others are losing the young crowd.

P.S. Yes, keep doing reviews/rides, as well as tips for riding. I bought your DVD about 20 years ago. I am so glad I did. I have been practicing the skills ever since and still practice regularly to stay proficient. It helped my riding a lot here in Tucson, Arizona. My wife has also been practicing your You Tube tips and it is helping her. She prefers watching them over the DVD.

Jerry, I enjoy your detailed and objective reviews about all the positive points and the detractors. As you have stated before, there is no perfect bike. That is why we all need several! Ghost is the best lead! Always looking out for the bike behind. You should shoot some videos with him, on the proper way to safely lead a group. Great vid. A pleasure watching two professionals at work.

Love this Jerry, would love to see you work your way through a lot of the new Harley softails in videos like this. We see a lot of regular, young KZbinrs do reviews and say a lot of the same things, but you have a totally different level of experience, wisdom and can give a different angle. Wouldn't mind seeing you on the Fat Bob, Street Bob, Iron 883,etc give a little insight into what sort of rider you could see on these and what the skill levels are,etc

Hey, Mr. Motorman! These reviews are a nice addition to the channel, but it would be even nicer if you could pull these bikes through some of your exercises and tell your expert opinion on how they handle at low speeds. Because that's something that hundreds of other reviews on KZbin are desperately lacking. And your expertise in that area would make that kind of reviews really invaluable and a standout among others.

I know you like Harleys a lot (so do I), but I would love to see you test and review a Triumph Rocket III. You will never feel power or torque like it in any other current cruiser on the market. It has the largest production motorcycle engine in the world. Up until 2019, they were cruisers. But the 2020 was changed to look so sporty, it almost looks like a space bike. But I am really curious what you would say about the handling of the bike.

I own a 2016 MG V7 II and a 2015 HD Super Low 1200T. Love both of them for what they are. The HD is really not that powerful (quick) but is a good bike for the Highway/Interstate. I like how it is nimble and easy to ride for its weight. The Soft Tail Low Rider S looks like an awsome bike but also does not look to be aas nimble as the HD Super Low. Not to mention of how darn expensive the Low Ridwr S is. Florida, so crowded it has become since the mid to late 1960s. I used to think about moving there some day back then. But not any longer since it has become so densely populated and developed. As well as expensive compared to what it once was. It is also a boring State to ride a motorcycle in. And quite a bit dangerous with all the traffic now clogging up the roads. Anyway ... ;-)
