I’m about to purchase a 2020 Ex-L Accord 1.5T, upgrading from my ‘04 EX. One of my complaints w/ my ‘04 was the noisy windshield wipers & I see they’re still noisy! UGH!

Hello G Hicks, thank you for your comment. Yes, the wipers are still noisy, and it was something that bothered me during the drive as well. I’m sure there are aftermarket options to solve the issue which won’t break the bank. I hope you enjoy your new Accord.

@@OversteerAutoReviews wow, time flies! I lost track of this comment, but I did purchase the EX-L 2.0t back in 2020 & I love it! No noisy windshield wipers! LOL! The road noise is a little frustrating at times, but I’ll be switching to a thicker tire when it’s time for new tires to hopefully alleviate some of the road noise.

How is the 1.5 when you enter an on ramp to a highway?

It feels a bit sluggish until the turbo kicks in. Lag isn’t too bad, but definitely noticeable. I feel that the engine is underpowered for the vehicle, and the 2.0t is more suitable. The CVT doesn’t really help the situation either

@@OversteerAutoReviews Oh Ok thanks for responding. I plan on test driving both tomorrow. Im in a dilemma on sacrificing power for ride comfort (dont really wanna be bothered with low profile tires on the sport and touring trims).

@@keonjenkins1852 in all honesty, low profile tires don’t kill ride comfort too much. I’ve experienced a vehicle of the same trim with different profile tires, and there’s really not a difference in ride comfort. The Accord Sport is my ultimate favorite vehicle in the complete Honda lineup. I’m sure you can experiment tomorrow. Good luck with test drives!

@@OversteerAutoReviews Low profile tires are a bummer in states with bad roads and more prone to rim scratching when you are parking. The road noise will definitely be higher too

I believe it also depends on wheel size and diameter, Seattle roads, the low profile tires are horrendous, but I was comparing 19 inch wheels with a 30 sidewall to 16 inch tires with a 55 sidewall
