One thing I will say is that the Accord is not as fast and impressive as a Tesla but it is also more well made than a Tesla. I think a lot of people would be shocked if the got up close and personal with a Tesla at how cheaply they are made.

Picked mine up about a month ago 2020 with 750 miles. Great car. Very smooth ride and actually has pretty quick acceleration for a 4 ltr engine. Super quiet. AC gets really cool very quickly. The Lane Keep Assist works really well and keeps your car centered within the lines. Very pleased with my purchase.

Were you surprised by the car's feel when driving? I am no stranger to hybrids (I live in a high cost of living area with high gas prices) and the car surprised me when I first drove it. I think that's because in an ICE-attuned world a lot of people talk about power-trains in terms of horsepower ( at 212hp, the accord hybrid actually does better than it's 1.5L turbo buddy and keeps up with the 2.0L turbo admirably), but a lot of people neglect to mention the 232 ft lbs of torque from 0 RPM. I bought a 2020 Accord Hybrid last month (EX Trim), and I've already put some mileage on it (about 2,900 miles in three weeks), before my state went into lockdown. It does not feel like an economy car, I really enjoy driving it. I've also clocked higher than rated mileage out of it, on my Grand Canyon run I clocked 56.5 mpg average over the return trip on the highway. Driving to and from work in the city I am still getting around 46mpg without any special effort. This means it's already getting better mileage than my third generation Prius I used as my trade-in. The arrangement of the Honda iMMD Hybrid system is such that it's basically an electric vehicle with a gas generator and it only has direct coupling of the gas engine to the drive train under certain circumstances (because I think the final drive ratio ends up being equivalent to most other vehicles' top gear) and that particular 2.0L engine is tuned to be most efficient in the lower RPM range (the 2.0L Turbo's rated power output is at like 1,500 RPM, yeah, only 1,500, not 3,500 or more like we're used to). That is to say, that the Accord Hybrid has no real "transmission" in the traditional sense (yes it still sends mechanical energy through a medium to the wheels) but it's not like the CVTs or gearbox transmissions we normally think of, it's basically a direct drive system from the ICE, through the electric motor/generator units to the half-shafts and out to the wheels. I thought that was a really interesting design scheme, and I think that's why the car feels so different than the Toyota/Lexus Hyrbid Synergy Drive systems like in the Prius or the Camry Hybrid, but it shares this with its CR-V and Insight cousins. I have a question about the backup camera. I know the one view is pointing straight down. But even so in the 2020 version we now have it is not showing correctly. In the straight down view even though I back up right at the edge of a line or another car, I get out and look and there is still about 6 to 8 inches of space which makes no sense since the cam should be giving a straight down view and is showing directly on or at the line. Is the cam on my car not adjusted correctly? Physically if the view is straight down then the objects i see should be exactly as seen outside.

The non-Hybrid models come with a spare, and the Hybrid shares the identical trunk... complete with space for said spare. That's an easy change to make if it's important to you.
