Plug in what you need, be sensible about it & keep it movin' The construction is plastic but it's a sturdy piece. It has a single toggle switch & the swivel jacks are useful as well. Perfect no complaints will update if anything changes.

@Skyline Gaming I actually have both. I use my MBP for heavy computer intensive tasks like recording and editing music in Logic, as well as data analysis and programming. I find using the iPad is good for note taking and general entertainment usage like Netflix, KZbin and etc. and reading as well. I really enjoy reading and annotating books in this iPad, super friendly. honestly I find the 2 products work well together but they also work very well independently. It really just depends on what you need them for. Hope you enjoy, which ever one you choose!

There is actually one thing you forgot, Max. The 2020 iPad Pros also got 6 GB of RAM across all of its storage capacities, as opposed to the 2018 iPad Pros which only had 6 GB of RAM on the 1 TB model, where every storage option below it had 4 GB.

Yaa but the ram in iPad Air is 5th gen and in iPad Pro is 4th gen ram... So 5th gen rams are 1.5 times faster than 4th gen... So 6gb of 4th gen ram equals 4gb of 5th gen ram.... These are only in day to day... Not in benchmark scores!

I decided to grab an iPad Air 4 rose gold 256gb. If i decide it doesn’t meet my needs, I will exchange for the iPad Pro 128gb for my daily driver. I am currently using an iPad Pro 10.9 2017 model. I am just worried about the speakers because I am slightly hearing impaired and these speakers on the 2017 pro are really good. I am worried about the 120 hz but i will see how I like. I just really wanted the color and the nice pretty colors. Later next year I am grabbing the 12.9 pro for school in place of my laptop.

A laptop is better if you are doing a lot of productivity stuff, but if you mainly just email and surf, it’s not much different. A laptop probably also will be cheaper since the iPad needs the keyboard stand which is another $300.

@@jojojoe7991 You can get Microsoft word etc. for both iPad and laptops. But iPads are still a bit more awkward for multitasking compared to laptops and PCs. The iPad operating system was not originally designed for multitasking apps and sharing data and files between apps, and although it’s been added in the years since, it’s easier to do it on Windows or Mac operating systems.

I want a new ipad (i have the ipad air 2 with only 12gb and its very limitating) but i'm kinda frustrated by the storage in this new ipad air. Yes I should be using it until obsolete. Actually one of my considerations is how long it can last before replacement. I am still using my 128GB 11” MacBook Air 2014 when I am out of town and considering using the new iPad with mouse and keyboard to replace. My take on this. iPad Air is meant to be below the iPad Pro, that's why it looses some Pro Features . Touch ID - Face ID 10.9' - 11' Screen Brightness higher on the Pro screen refresh rates 2 speakers on the Air vs 4 on the Pro Limited storage on the Air(at 256GB vs 1TB on the Pro) One camera vs 2 + the LiDar scanner on the Pro etc. I think Apple is making all these differences between the two products to sell them both to different customers. There'll be no point of selling or buying the iPad Pro if the Air had most of The Pro Features. 😉My opinion. Well detailed honest long term review , as always. 👍

I still have the first generation of iPad Prod from 2015. I honestly can’t think of a single reason to upgrade - it’s snappy and has all the space I need. For me 64 gig storage not enough, then add 2 more cameras and flash. And 128 storage for entry model.Then the difference is $50. And pro motion. Basically you get nickel dimed into buying the pro. I think the pro is a little faster. But speed. Of a iPad is not a issue with any of the 3 generations of pro I own. Squiggle might be the the exception. It’s slow on both generations 10.5 and 11

I don’t know how you arrive at the conclusion that this is the exact same panel. Apple has many products with very similar or even identical display sizes where they use different panels even though they have the same pixel density. Displays need to be optimized for high refresh and high brightness. Even if the manufacturing process is similar a lesser panel will consume much more power trying to achieve similar results while failing to maintain color accuracy and response times.

It is the same panel, but with a couple of small tweaks. It was more work to take promotion away and turn it into a 10.9” display than to just leave it the same.

I have to say Ipad 12.9 appeals to me in terms of screen size and quad-speakers(THAT immersive sound experience from Pro!). Would like to hear your thoughts on this.

For me, the new Pencil is a big step down from the first. They should have simply added a real power button to the Pencil and be done. Nobody need the useless magnet or the constant and annoying charging.

I love my IPad Air 4 ...I ‘ve got my 2nd gen pencil too... and it’s awesome... it helps me a lot on labeling my gross anatomy worksheet and taking down notes... it’s a perfect device...worth my penny❤️❤️❤️👌

Good job, buddy! But you can't only look at the products. Apple is looking at what type of people buy what and what price range. So, if a person who uses an iPad for work, a professional environment, still iPad pro is the one to go.

Great video! I really needed an iPad and can’t wait 6 months so I bought the air 4 in the blue color. I absolutely love it and will be using it with a keyboard and Bluetooth mouse, and monitor - like a laptop. If it works out well then I will probably upgrade to the new iPad Pro next year! Very excited for these new products. I also work in Photoshop a lot and am thrilled that Adobe has created the program for iPads now. Looking forward to getting the pencil too.

@patrick - yes! I have the Microsoft office subscription and have been using word, excel and PowerPoint. Very intuitive to learn the interface and works like a charm. I save my files to OneDrive to avoid storage space issues.

If you're ok with 64Gb Air 4 base model - then gate it. But if you want more storage, then only Pro.

I want the iPad pro as the price upgrade is responsible but at that price I kinda feel like why not buy a MacBook if I'm spending that amount uff 😵
