That's a base price to get you in the door ..... I went to a spot that advertised the 15,000 dollar price buy the time they wrote it all up tax and title the price still ended up being over 20,000..... So I just went and picked mine up at my usual dealer and walked out a little over 21,000 with a roof tax and title out the door ...... but I'm more than happy with mine

THX for a great vid, keep it up. I love what you do, the TFL crew should be thankful to have you. So the KRX- right now its high on my radar, very much interested in this unit. For an NA engine rig its probably the best BUT I think you are also hitting the nail on the head when it comes to VALUE. Its new and its hot so value is not a concern for Kawasaki right now- ALL of the accessories are way too expensive! the base unit price is still at least 2 to 3 grand higher then it should be (I feel the same about the base Talon)- to my point. Here in the southeast of USA, TN to be specific. I can get a RZR 1000xp for around 16K. This unit a few years ago was THE sxs to have and it is still awesome especially for the price compared to all the other units at the same price point! That's a lot of upgrades or money saved for the cost difference.

But the Polaris is a pile of garbage compared to the Kawasaki, and especially compared to the Honda. The Can Am is equally shit if you want to compare build quality and reliability. The Yamaha is a good choice if you want a raw and reliable rig.
@snowrulesnate

Very accurate review on power to weight ratio. It wasn’t meant to compete with the more powerful SXS but will be a solid rig for trails. Hopefully the turbo will help it catch up with pack like Honda is trying to do...both late to the game and slightly unimpressive IMO, especially for the $$$. All SXS are pricey though

I have been looking for my perfect fit and I think this is it. I have a 2018 CO ZR2 (daily driver)that I am just beating the crap out of. At $50k most would call me a DA. I have been checking out all my options in a SxS. Is it the fastest? NO. I live on the far east side of Las Vegas.. Henderson NV and my back yard is a 1000 miles of some of the best trails you can find. I think the KRX is my fit. Great vid, Thanks. Im going to pull the trigger next week.

That’s an interesting title for this vid. Canada must get one hell of a deal on new trucks, I haven’t seen anything in the way of a truck that’s even in the same general area of 20K (US), let alone the 14,850.00 (plus tax and license) I paid for mine. About a month into the Corvid crap the price of all SXS’s started dropping like a free fall elevator in the SW states.

Great video as always Stephen! You’ve quickly become my favorite sxs reviewer. I love the look of this buggy but it and the Talon are both crazy expensive for naturally aspirated units when Polaris and Can Am offer so much power in this price range. Kawasaki does build a tough machine though. I love the side mirrors. They look like licensed Seizmik Pursuits. I have a set on my Teryx and they are great mirrors

I saw it at a dealer last week. It’s huge and heavy machine but looks great with top notch suspension and ground clearance for attacking difficult terrain. Should more stable and difficult to roll over unlike other UTV’s. Only issue I see is it’s underpowered for this weight. Also dealer wanted US $27000 base price with no accessories.

I was at Kawasaki dealer a week ago and saw this machine up close. It’s huge in size. Much bigger than Yamaha YXZ 1000. Suspension is also top notch. Check some videos of KRX VS TALON before you buy. I’m in love with this Kawasaki buggy. But it’s heavier and takes more space. Should be difficult to roll over compared to other UTV’s.

To be fair, the $20,500 USD MSRP price is highly competitive with the other major brands with similar models. In fact, the KRX is a much better value when you consider you're getting 31" tires, beadlock rims and full half doors from the factory. That's easily over $2K USD in upgrades. As far as other accessories, the factory accessories are priced about the same as factory accessories from other brands. I own a Can Am Maverick turbo I can attest the factory accessories prices are high. KRX accessories will become cheaper as aftermarket companies begin making more of them. BTW, here in the U.S., several dealers are offering $5,500 USD discounts on the KRX models. If I could only get my wife to let me sell my 2017 Cam Am so I can get one of these beasts.

Kawasaki nailed this unit on fitment, overall quality, and has an overbuilt suspension. They ticked all the boxes. Unfortunately they really missed it with the engine and CVT. While CVT is the most popular transmission in the UTV world, it does have the most HP loss at about 30 percent from crank to wheels. I could hardly imagine how much nicer this buggy would be with a slight weight loss, and a real transmission like the YXZ or the Talon.
@1978JWJ
@1978JWJ 4 жыл бұрын
They did NOT "nail it" with the suspension- already numerous reports of spring sag AND issues with the lowers A-arms causing damage under full drop and hard steering- its a first year unit- these are hopefully the bugs they will work out.

Rides nice for awhile. Subwoofer catches and holds mud,water and dirt great. Can clean out. Won’t last. Machine is obnoxiously noisy and hot in the cab. Very slow. CVT and wet clutch set up in great. Kawasaki is gouging folks for the accessories. If you remove the sport designation and compare it to say something like Polaris Ranger Northstar Ultimate, a unit that comes fully enclosed, with heat, air, glass windshield and wiper, bumpers, winch etc, it makes no sense why the basics should not be a part of the KRX for the unit price. The concern for me is that this is a new unit, the aftermarket hasn't had time to build a list of accessories. Why spend $26,500 plus tax and then two thirds more of that price to get what are basic accessories. #Kawasaki.

They are toys. The only choice for consumers is, how much money do they want to spend on a toy? 5K ? 20, 100? Really is no justification for them other than fun. So we can argue all day long about whether the price is fair or not, but it would be pointless on a frivolous product like this. IF we were talking about a ranch/farm or work utility vehicle like a Gator or the likes, then sure, what you get for the $ becomes more relevant. IF I could justify a toy in the 20-40K range tho, I would consider a Jeep. Get all the comforts of a road vehicle with options to get down and dirty at the same time. But that is just me.

I like and enjoy the reviews so thanks but the constant loud heavy metal music on TFL off road videos is not something I enjoy and so I end up muting and just watching the quality footage without the sound.

Lol $40,000 Get on the Kawasaki KRX Facebook pages that about sums up the quality These things are snapping front knuckles like they’re going out of style They are having problems with coolant leaking oil leaking and they are under powered. I bought a first year KFX 700 Back in 2004 that Was a mistake Nothing but problems out of that atv Then I bought an 05 KFX It’s been a really good machine I’m sure the KRX Will be a good sxs When Kawasaki gets all the bugs worked out but first year machine lol No thank you
