I own a trucking company. I use to be a big Cummins fan. No more! New Cummins engines nothing but trouble. Right now I switched to Paccar,so far so good.

The PACCAR engines are DAF engines from the Netherlands. PACCAR is the proud mother of three great truck manufacturers and doesn't produce a bold. I hear quite some people saying that these engines are crab, but we all know that they don't have a clue. It all has to do with patriotism.

@@AndyTheKenworthGuy i haul milk where i work. my boss buys only paccar MX13. i think he does it to save money but in the long run might prove to be a mistake. we gross up to 105K sometimes and the paccar is just overworked..... should have the 15 liter. other milk haulers have bought paccars and i know a couple that refuse to buy them anymore. i think the cummings might be a better engine.

they also rate the paccar at 500 or 510 hp depending upon the year, i think they rate them high. i have driven older C15 trucks with rated 485 hp that pulled allot stronger.

@@AndyTheKenworthGuy i ran a T660 with the studio bunk for 2 years . to me that was the definition of a true otr unit. the 680 looks like a failed abortion to me with that egg shaped head , looking at it from the front. this 880 is indeed a nice looking unit. way to go KW . Does the pass seat swivel 180° so you can use it at the table? Idk why, but other than maybe full gauges & personally I'd spec a few things slightly differently & a different color, this may be my favorite truck of all your vids. The only reason cummins ISX's have cam problems is because people aren't doing their oil changes. I know 5 people with 1.2-1.4k km on their ISX's no rebuilds maintenance is key in general, seen plenty of 6nz's not make 700k km before popping off. The only really bad engine regardless of maintenance I know is the international Maxxforce's they're truly junk all around.

Nothing against CAT engines had a C12 , C13 and a C15 our of the 3 C13 the best ran it 3.5 million KM team never a problem the rest oil leaks from everywhere and in frame. Got a 2013 Volvo D15 put 2 sets of injectors and now getting my new t680 with the Performance Cummins and willing to give it a try. Can’t wait Volvo is too simple inside. “Not welcoming to the eye when your in a Volvo “ and for the price I chosed KW.
