Triptonic/ Manual Drive - Does it offer FULL manual control, meaning does the gear up shift only when done by driver (paddle shifters 2021/gearstick) or PARTIAL manual control i. e. auto up shifts by itself after some time. (how much is this time 20s?) 2. Triptonic / Manual Drive: Are Drive Modes (Sport/eco/city) available in Triptonic Drive or only sport mode is offered in triptonic drive or can all modes can be switched off to gain FULL Manual control in Triptonic Drive.

I am checking out various cars options to buy and have more or less made up my mind. THanks for such a detailed review. one thing that i would want to ask is that in many other reviews, it has been said that the suspension is a little stiff which makes it a little bumpy or uncomfortable in city slow driving condition through pot holes etc. On the other hand it is good on highway during fast speed drives. Sir, i have a diesel automatic sonet. Is it ok to put neutral while vehicle is on move in automatic torque converter. I have noticed doing that gives much better mileage in city especially when u r not giving much acceleration. Vehcile slows down rapidly when u release the accelerator in most cases.. does putting neutral and then in drive when necessary in moving vehicle affect transmission?

Nice review👍🏼, please make a video of HTK+ diesel automatic, but why Kia didn’t provide wireless CarPlay/android auto In gt model ? and only wireless charging? Wireless charging is to avoid wires but to use carplay/Android Auto we have to use wire, this is baseless.. wireless CarPlay/android auto provided in htk+ but no wireless charging in htk+. So in both gt and htk+ we have to use wires either way.. this is very bad idea by KIA.

Diesel is not an AMT, it is a torque converter. So a proper automatic gearbox. If you drive 80+ km daily, then I would suggest the diesel motor for you as it will deliver more mileage (when combined with highway drives).

Hello Normally when we drive other vehicle the accelerator is somewhat runs fast. So if we remove our feet from pedal does the Sonet slows down and comes to halt or it keep going and we need to use brake unnecessary every time to slow or stop it. Pls clarify

Dct can shift gears more quickly than torque converter that's the only difference. If you're in delhi or near by areas then petrol dct🔥 makes sense for buying if not consider diesel automatic to feel the engine . Both are good no issues I have bought diesel automatic

Sonet/Venue are based on Santro platform (modified). No expert is talking about these cars' safety aspects. Looks and features are secondary. These cars haven't been tested by NCAP. You are better off with any other compact SUV in this segment. All have 4/5 star ratings. Or as you mentioned you are considering Seltos, I say go for it. Forget the Venue/Sonet duo.

The auto gearbox is heavy, The turbo is VGT, that's why this engine needs more torque. It cannot overtake the diesel manual over any speed range (VGT and weight reduces the Power To Weight effect) . It cannot offer better milage than the Manual (all autos have to consume more by default, because of transmission slip tech). It will be costly to maintain, repair or replace, especially if one drives this with a heavy foot, or too much in sport mode with manual shifts, as the gearbox life will reduce. This having been noted, this TC type auto is way safer to maintain (less damage and heating of gearbox parts) and longer lasting than DSG/DCA type autos. If you mostly drive in city or suburban traffic, if you are mostly a sedate driver, if you can afford to loose about 2-3 kmpl milage over the diesel manual, and if you promise yourself to sell this auto and not drive it beyond 7yrs, then this TC Diesel AT VGT 115/250 is worth your time tension and money! (if you're not sure about some or all points above, take the plunge, because of 2 reasons, Kia quality of machine parts is superior and TC is a proven tested technology, plus the thrill factor of an auto gearshift in your car cannot be matched by the same old manual gear knob feeling)
