2020 Kia Sorento SX Review and Test Drive - Ride Along

I drove this car from Boston to Atlanta, it was a rent a car, and this was an awezome drive, it was one of the most comfortable and smoothest ride, great power and great in gas. Love the Kia Sorento.

It's a very nice car and a great dealership. I've bought 3 cars there and sent 2 friends who also bought cars. No one had any complaints. Since hiring a bunch of very accomplished German auto execs, Kia has actually become a really great company. The Sorento is great for someone who doesn't want to deal with a giant, bloated 3-Row but might need to take kids and a friend or two to the movies. It's not gigantic, but it is a lot more capable than a CRV or a CX5. I wish I could put the motor from my Stinger in this, though. That would be a hilariously fast SUV.

What happened to limited features? I don’t see Heated steering wheel, cooled seats and Sliding mid-row seats?

USAalltheway! Same here. When I go to Kia’s website, they only show the SX trim, and it doesn’t say anything about auto high beams or rainsensing wipers. WTF!

It’s 2021 and I am currently driving a 2015 Kia Sorento awd 3.3L and all I got to say is this is best year for the sorento and I am going to upgrade to this year and model in a few days. Good CUB

willdogs droid I thought there were cubed LED lights offered on the SX-L trim, but the website doesn’t show an SX-L trim🤷‍♀️

I’m confused. I thought there was an SX-L trim. When I tried to build one on the Kia website, it only gave the option of SX trim, no SX-L trim??

They got rid of that trim. SX is the highest level now.

It a great vehicle. But I hate any vehicle with all wheel drive. All wheel drive does not improve traction that much over front wheel drive and the expense you pay is not worth it. Also all wheel drive tends to have more problems and the repair costs are outrageous. Front wheel drive is the way to go. But since most newer suvs have all wheel drive not much of a choice.

Yes but this is NOT your typical AWD vehicle. Kia and Hyundai use a "locking differential" for light off roading or bad snow roads. It is a VERY competent system that other vehicles in the segment just don't have. So it's worth every penny if you live where it snows. Or drive on fire roads etc...
