2020 KTM 300 XC-W "Setting Race Sag" 2

Measured static and race or riding sag values to see how well dealer set up the bike. Also adjusted the rebound and compression dampers front and rear. I set the clickers to the factory settings for comfort and am expecting to adjust the suspension stiffer from there. As expected the bike had a riding sag more than the factory setting due to my heavier weight. I will try it out to see how it feels. If you are running slow speed the rate of the spring is not as critical as at high speeds. I may like the softer rate of the current spring especially if I can keep it from bottoming out using stiffer clicker settings.

Excellent. You could make a part two video and show how to set your race sag with all of your gear on. Helmet, boots, backpack fully loaded etc. and then adjust the spring. This is as most of the beginners would probably want to see how to do that part correctly as well.

FYI there is a factory mark in the fender so that you don’t have to mark up that beautiful bike with a sharpie! Look closely there is a line in the fender and I believe it’s labeled sag

What's the highest body weight I can be and still ride this bike in stock form? How much would it cost me if I need stiffer suspension, roughly? Thanks!

believe the bike is supposed to be on the stand when adjusting suspension clicker settings....that's what every suspension guru/tuner has advised me. Motool digital sag setter, a rider's best friend and worth the 150 bucks.
