Do you always have to drain the oil filter cartridge or can you just unscrew the whole thing? Do you recommend draining it first? Does it do anything?

Has anyone experienced the oil cap under the hood extremely tight and can't open up??

Use pliers, usually the guy at the dealership cranks it on way to tight

Would the oil filter cap be the same as a 2019 f sport v4?

Great question, I am not 100 percent sure if it is the same as the inline 4 cylinder engines, I wanna say the cap is definitely the same but the filter is probably shorter

How often should the 0W-20 be changed for the IS300?

@@JessCH82 personally I do mine every 5,000 km but I believe the recommended interval is 8,000km if I’m not mistaken

I changed my oil is my 2020is 300 and now my transmission is slipping and check engine light is on. Thoughts?

Did you possibly drain the trans fluid instead of the engine oil?
