Lexus announced a new twin turbo V8 for next year. Hopefully it will end up in the road cars. With the GSF going and no F sedans...... could we see a new ISF TTV8? Love these cars. Not the fastest compared to Merc and BMW etc but so well put together and reliable.

Your video showed the new BMW 330i’s 0-100km time being 5.5sec. I don’t know if this is slow, or the BMW is super quick. I feel like we are spoiled with cars such as the 330i. Ridiculously fast for what it is.

Turbo S check this channel’s video on the car. Real world figure was 5.5sec. Whereas, this car showed a slower 0-100km time. Japanese manufacturers do this all the time. 0-100km times being slower than what they claim.. but european cars are faster than what they claim to be.

This is NOT right. I tested 0-96 km/h 2017 GSF and 2018 M4(competition package) with T/C on at the same location about 3 months ago. The results was 4.93 and 5.07. If you don't trust my results, you can also test them on your own... :-)

We tried all modes. The video is purely a video. All performance testing is done with a Racelogic Vbox Sport, multiple runs, off camera. Sometimes we run cars 6 or 7 times, or more.

Emad Tamar it is a pseudo luxury two door coupe, not a Nitro Funny Car, it is rapid enough for what it is. More performance than this is not necessary for a road car, despite your obvious fixation on nebulous figures.

@@ack434 We had no traction issues during testing - we don't think slicker tarmac would make much difference. We did try quite a few runs as well as this was the slowest time we've achieved in an RC F (we've tested 3 or 4 different models in the past, at around 4.9s). It makes us think this slowish time could be subject to this specific test car only. Even if you simply count and watch the speedo (which is not a very accurate way to do it), the speed doesn't appear to climb all that rapidly.

Given it has much more power 351kW vs 200kW & 530Nm vs 336Nm over my 2012 Aurion. On top with the advantage of being RWD as well it's only 1 second faster. Must be the heavy weight that's holding it back. Very nice car though and it sounds like a beast.

We simply report what the Vbox said. You say other channels, do you mean overseas? We are based in Australia. Australian-spec car, Australian fuel. And do you mean 0-60mph? That's different to 100km/h.

It's not slow, it's fast. The Golf R is a compact with a 4 cyl TURBO and 310hp and the RCF is a heavy coupe (1765 kg) with a 5000cc V8 and 477hp with no turbo. 5.1 seconds to 100, Itsn't very fast for a 477hp car, I know, but a BMW M4 does 0-100 in 4.7, and there are just 0.4 seconds of difference
