We've got a 2020 CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve, which has the turbo, in my book a must-have for this model. It's also got everything else. For around $36 thousand you get all the goodies you'd expect from a well-optioned BMW X3, for $15 thousand less. The 2020 CX-5 is a pleasure to drive, comfortable, powerful (with the turbo), and responsive despite its SUV proportions. But what impressed me most about the CX-5 was not the one we just bought. While its break-in service was being done the dealer provided us with a loaner, another CX-5 but a base model a couple of years old. It had miles on it, around 40 thousand, but felt as tight and new as our brand-new model. Not a squeak or rattle despite lots of hard driving. Mazda's build quality and reliability are legendary, even by Japanese standards. That loaner CX-5 was light-years ahead of the 2013 BMW X1 we had to get rid of because it was falling to pieces all around us, and the repair costs were staggering. We financed our CX-5 on Mazda's zero interest plan over 60 months and are confident it will give us excellent, economical service long past that interval. Anybody with a five-year-old vehicle from ANY German manufacturer has my sympathy. Having owned every German brand I speak from experience.

Do you get paid for praising Mazda ? I honestly can’t believe when people compare their Mazda against Lexus, Acura and Infiniti. My neighbor had a Cx5 Mazda that got towed to the dealership for repairs, her VW Jetta got the same treatment 3x and was trade in for the Mazda and only lasted 6 months or so , she now drives a Lexus NX

@@reyperez3424 i have a 2012 Mazda3 that I bought with 70k miles and now had 120k with heavy used )since I drove like 3 times back and forward from Miami to Lousiana). I do not even remember I have had to change the battery. Mazda won me with this car in that way that Im looking for a CX-5 now.

The reason I bought a 2020 CX-5 Signature was because it handles as good as my 2015 Mazda 3 GT did and the 310 pounds feet of torque makes it a joy to drive. 20 years of driving HD diesel trucks made me a torque junkie. I owned a competitor brand 2012 compact SUV and liked the ease of entry and exit, the higher stance and greater clearance but I absolutely hated the handling. Going into a corner on a poorly banked road just 10 MPH over the speed limit would roll the body enough to scare you. I read reviews that say the 2020 competitor models in this segment still do not handle any where close to a CX-5. I watched dozens of reviews and everyone gives the CX-5 the best handling score so the bottom line, if you want the benefits of an SUV with the handing of a sedan in a mainstream vehicle, the Mazda CX-5 is a great choice.

Bro. The cx5 doesn’t handle like the 6. Your dreaming
@healthballnut3 жыл бұрын
@@Mrtellitlikeitis I have never driven a 6 so I can’t say, but I definitely feel my CX5 handles as well as my 2015 Mazda 3 did.

The factory shut down 2020 CX-5 production for several weeks due to the virus. Our dealer had to scramble to get the model and color we wanted. While other manufacturers are offering fire sale prices due to reduced demand caused by the economy's decline, new CX-5s are back ordered. And price-wise they are still very competitive.

What about the nav? With that little screen I always wonder how decent it is or if I'd need a magnifying glass to see the map.

paddle shifters !!!!!
@johntechwriter4 жыл бұрын
The Grand Touring Reserve has paddle shifters. But you're better off just switching to Sport mode and letting the vehicle shift for itself.
