All valid points bro! At the end of the day it's good to switch things up as too many people get into one model and don't acknowledge that all 3 of the Big 3 (Mustang, Camaro, Challenger) have their positives in addition to negatives.

Make sure you have the mirrors set up before you start the car because you can't see in those cars the blind spots are ridiculous. They handle better than all but it sure is nice to see out of the front windshield. If you want to try something different try a Dodge Challenger but if you are only interested in speed maybe not.

I just bought a ZL1 1LE and I went through the same thought process. The GT500 is an awesome car but the fact that it doesn't come in manual was a buzzkill for me. Second, I didn't like the fact that the car was so heavy compared to the ZL1 1LE. Third, I couldn't justify $20k-$30k markups. Otherwise it is a fantastic car. I love how aggressive the Camaro looks in person. Pics and vids don't do it justice. Folks always move out of the left lane on the highway when they see me approaching. ZL1s won't be fully appreciated until they are discontinued (again!) and by then it will be too late.

The ZL1 is a beautiful car. Last year around this time I was deciding between a new GT500 or a new ZL1. Up until the GT/SS trim of the mustangs/camaros I prefer the look of the camaro. Once you get to the Shelby/ZL1 level of these cars I prefer the mustang. The front of the camaro was always better looking to me until Ford came out with the 2020 GT500. The 760 horsepower predator engine and the fact that Shelbys hold their value was another factor. Your car looks great. Congrats on your purcahse! PS - Mopars are great vehicles too. Nevertheless I don't like the look of the front of the challenger and I don't like the 4 doors on the charger. I do like that you can put all season tires on the Dodge muscle cars. The seats are also great.

As a ZL1 1LE owner I agree with you. I prefer the hood and grill of the GT500. It just looks TOUGH. But, I feel that the ZL1 1LE has a very low to the ground wide-body aggressive stance. It looks more intimidating in person whereas the GT500 looks sexier in photos.

I bought a used whipple stage 2 a Lebanon Ford car...I did triple pump fuel system for e85 went bmr suspension and a ice tank...I basically watched u and stangmode...Now he is buying a Vet and u got a camaro....I hope I didnt mess up because I cant switch cars as easy as yall can sounds like the mustang on e85 is a ticking time bomb but mine so far so good

This is all subjective of course. I have owned both a ZL1 a10 and now a 2020 GT500. I bought my GT500 early last year for a decent price at $82k and the trade-in to a dealership worth is more now. experience the ZL1 was terrible. I had bought it without a thorough test drive unfortunately. The A10 worked well and the car was pretty quick but the acceleration felt uneventful, underwhelming even. The interior is like sitting a cave and the steering wheel was too thin. The seats don't recline without removing and modification. I didn't like the car enough to mod it and rarely drove it, so I sold it after 4 months of ownership. The ZL1 is great track car especially the 1LE but it just wasn't my cup of tea. The GT500 on the other hand truly thrills me every time I go WOT and cant get enough of it!

I been looking for an 18+ s550 for a couple months. Some of the dealers are asking more for a gt used than what it was brand new in 2018. The market sucks for buying right now! Those camaros are well balanced imo. I hope it keeps you entertained for a while

I think a lot of people are surprised at the new car as this has always been said this channel is for Mustang. Zander has good reasons for the purchase and he did not have to share these with us so give the guy respect. Always had this for Zander for what he does in his own garage and he has given EVERYONE here I think ideas on how to mod their car no matter how small or large. I am 100% Mustang however this will not stop me watching the channel as the content is interesting. Zander get the old MUSTANG quick or enter the StangMode giveaway and keep the interest alive.

The wheels on the ZL1 are the most beautiful wheels on any production car on the road...and that is the only thing the Camaro has on the GT500. Every other category...power, looks, prestige, handling, transmission, sound, etc...the ZL1 is a distant 2nd. Cool wheels though. Oh....price. Forgot about price. But if I'm spending that amount. I'm getting what I really want.

I really like the ZL1 i dont blame him for switching and getting one especially when it comes to price. I didnt consider buying a camaro for a couple of reason and i looked into it really well renting them on a couple of occasions and just went with the mustang. My situation is different. Either way i think the ZL1 is a great choice and lots of potential and good purchase for sure.

Honestly an 2SS 1LE is the ultimate value! No one needs more than 450hp! No one needs a supercharger! no one wants the unreliability and expense and headaches! An 2SS !LE is the most reliable of all 3 muscle cars of any variant, lighter than all mustangs of v8's, better tech, better interior,better manuverability, steering & suspension,stiffer chassis, better value, fresher look and ofcourse a 6 Speed Manual!

I think if it was between a ZL1 or 1LE and a 350 or R. Dollar for dollar the ZL1 is the best value. And that’s really compared with every car. But vs a GT500 if you can afford a base GT500. No. And you can absolutely find a base GT500 for sticker. Just takes a good dealership.

I have both the ZL1 and GT500 and also a C7 Z06 Z07 pack.....my view...GT500 feels most wild and visceral and puts the biggest smile on your face (feels worth the extra 30k over ZL1), .followed by the C7 Z06 (Z07 package) with ZL1 being the third....however ZL1 is more practical...got all the tech and great vfm!!

I did the same thing and got a 2021 ZL1 that's the shock. I brought mine right before the shortage and traded in a 2019 GT Performace Level 2. The ZL1 is best for the money. My two-year-old son talked my wife into getting it. It was my best veterans day present. Handles better than a Hellcat and I am wasn't going to pay the market up for a GT500. Mustangs are great but the markups are crazy on the GT500.

I bought a 2022 ZL1 because nothing else is available. I am glad I purchased the ZL1 now. I can put $5000 into bolt ons on my 2022 ZL1,have a faster car then the GT500 or Hellcat and still save money🤷‍♂️.

The ZL1 is a badass car. Drove one and loved the pull in it. I ended up getting a 19 350R for just over 70 right before the car bubble burst and now you can’t find the same car for under 85 esp being the 19-20 model year. I liked the visibility of the Shelby more as well as the sound it makes. I haven’t tracked it yet but I love how the Shelby handles my mountain back roads (all freshly paved about a year and a half ago) I also feel like I made the right investment now lol regardless, you have a badass car! Also, I’m not brand loyalist as I drive a Silverado as my daily.

Love all the american muscle. One thing is you dont see alot of zl1s where i live you will see the odd ford and a shit load of hellcats. Thats the reason i ordered a zl1 1le and in the mean time i bought a zl1 used. Great car it hanles nice and has plentty of power not sure if ill keep it or not waiting for the new pricing from gm to see if its worth it or not.

I love all cars. I have a 2013 gt500 a 2021 gt500 I pd. 79,900.00 or close for the 2021 gt500. I've always wanted a chevy zl1. I feel it's a great machine for the money. Still quick as hell. Good luck.

I prefer obtainable cars. Good purchase. Ford waited to long to release the GT 500 and it is being crushed by the corvette. I personally dont care for gt500 content.

Explain how a better chassis, basically a better car than the Mustang besides its engine has gotten ripped a new ahole in sales? Hell even the Challenger is outselling it, why, because it has no identity, pushrod engine in a sports car. The Camaro has been around off and on since the 60's, everyone knows it's still here.

If your comparing both cars the Camaro is more expensive than the mustang same year, I get that you want something different it is a nice car but I wouldn't touch it enjoy the car and drive it but find something else to race ill keep watching your videos not going anywhere been here from the get go congrats on the car !
