I own one. Started with a ZL1 then, after a year, upgraded to the ZL1 1LE...both manual. I will never sell this one because no other car is made like this and, when they are done with this in a couple of more years, I am afraid we won't see anything like it ever again.

@@didiermejia780 @DIDIER MEJIA Way stiffer. You feel every little bump. Honestly, it is only better for one thing since it is made for one thing...and that is the track. The Multimatic DSSV suspension is focused on giving you the lowest track times possible (7:16 vs. 7:29 on the Nürburgring); never focused on comfort. The Magnetic Ride suspension of the ZL1 is still amazing for turns and it adjusts 1,000 times per second, so it is good for daily driving as well. It is one of the greatest suspensions in the world for someone who wants to track their car but also drive around town quite a bit. However, I chose the ZL1 1LE because it's not my daily driver and I didn't see much point in going 99 yards but not scoring the touchdown (getting a ZL1 and holding short of what I bought the car for in the first place)...so I sold my Red Hot ZL1 and bought a Hyper Metallic Blue ZL1 1LE (it's a shame they don't make my color anymore because I think it's the greatest color they made for this car). IMHO, if someone holds back on getting a ZL1 1LE because it's not comfortable for daily use, then the same logic should stop them from getting a ZL1 in the first place. Besides, I got used to it. It doesn't bother me when I'm just cruising around. This is one of the best track cars in the world (even better than the GT500) and hands down the best for the money.

I've drove em both the zl1 wasn't a 1le but still a better car. The grip and handle of the camaros blows the mustang's away even the shelby's. The shelby sounds better and is very fast very fun to drive but the ZL1 is terrifyingly fast. It blurs your side vision instantly and holds the road better. Shelby's biggest problem is the car they start with. I'd love to see what shelby could do with a camaro.

The GT500 CFTP weighs 4,056lbs just a little over 4,000lbs. Not bad. It's still a beast around the corners and in the quarter mile doing 10.6.

I don’t get into the Ford Chevy arguments, as a true gear head, I like fast cars. I have to pick the ZL1 for a couple reasons 1 the launch control doesn’t have a 1 second delay ( what was Ford doing ) 2 The GT500 is one quick ride so obviously it is pushing some G meters around and they went with a wet sump oiling system and that’s a huge “ what the beeeeep “ was Ford thinking.

I think I like the exterior of the Ford (Looks), but like the interior of the Chevy.(I like the bells & whistles and also the manual) I think the Chevy beats the Ford on the track from other videos I have seen, but If I had these cars they wouldn't be seeing a track anyway lol. Also think the Chevy has a better exhaust sound. But i'm shallow, I'm all about looks, and for me the Ford has it hands down. Great video thanks as always.

Can I win them both? If not I'll take the ZL1, however the Cobra sounds amazing! I'm just a GM guy. I'v owned a built '64 Nova, a built '70 Camaro, an '88 Corvette Z51, a '91 Corvette ZR-1, a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V and several GM trucks. Not trying to brag. Just want you to know I love that GT500 evan though my experiance has been with mostly GM brands.. Oh, I owned a new 1988 Mustang GT back in the day. Loved that car. Yeah I'm old.

I can tell without question no taking away your best efforts to inform on the lastest & out of this world performance that is available that hasn't been for a long time. A couple of things but you don't get a paddle shift or really like it at all in this video you can see it clear as day.My opinion obviously if a sports car is going to be done right it has to have it needs a 6 speed manual.You know I know the paddles are here to stay & with that you might even shed a tear identically to myself when and if we were to make a such a HUGE sacrifice. The paddle shifts are faster we get it but it's just a huge disconnect to the car that takes all the fun & joy out of it and the levels of experience a person can attain getting good mastering shifting & rowing threw the gears &, the fresh oils there sitting in.I was watching a video John Hennessy even today maybe the video is 2019 or 2020 but even right now today John Hennessy was learning how to shift better so the experience in the ride from learning how to shift as time goes is a never ending ride of excitement & possibilities waiting to be unlocked and where it is at & for myself as well. Carbon fiber wheels on a Mustang a huge 3 point strut tower brace the turning has to be so connected so incredible just makes you want to get that manual so you can point and shoot wherever you want on the track. The deck lid is so much skinnier in the Mustang compared to the Camaro that hasn't changed much. I could definitely see way way way way way way more confidence into the turns.The Mustang you are right there in every moment of the turn I mean without a doubt the mustang a way way way way way better car to drive. Put all that goodness in a Super Snake 🐍 would be from a driver standpoint Christmas morning everyday at every moment better than a Ferrari. Dare I say it but the days of looking up to a Ferrari or even another European manufacturer are over. I like the harsher ride in the Camaro if it can handle i would drop it to the ground carbon fiber wheels & a three-point strut tower brace. For such a harsher ride I would definitely get a convertible just so I can get an idea of what the turns are like. The rear diffuser on the Camaro is terrible the fin on the back is terrible.I wonder looks like a die grinder you might be able to hollow out those holes in the front grill just right even play with the specs on the suspension to soften up just a bit hopefully a aftermarket company would come out with a new front grill & I'd take the fin off the ZR1 and put it on the Camaro along with better recaro seats.Maybe put a copo package hidden underneath for the fun of it detuned.I like Camaro's & would buy one but I'd buy a Shelby Super Snake as well but drive it as a daily driver every day and head to the drag strip with the Camaro & some shopping and make time for it park it out front waxed so I can look at as I pull in, options o yeah. Definitely a Shelby Super Snake is the way to go with a 6 speed.

I like the GT500 over the ZL1 1LE hands down. The mustang is more agile, my only issue is with the mustang I know its more performance orient. However with the Camaro you keep the Heated seats, Steering wheel and Ventilated Seats. But you loose those comforts with GT500 Recaro seats. But I still would rather have the GT500.

I can't do the GT500, I've had to replace 2 complete engines already, issues with Sync, etc. I just don't trust the 5.2 for longevity. I went and bought a 6mt ZL1 1LE. Now, id love the 7 speed dct in the camaro.

when will Chevy realize you cant polish a turd. all the flare all the horse power but at the end of the day.... you are in a Chevy! it will be an expensive broken lawn ornament. handle will come off in your hand first time you close the door, head liner will fall on you while your driving.... if you get it running long enough, or if you get in gear last Chevy i owned went through 3 transmissions lucky for me it was under warranty and that was a 36 thousand mile warranty. a transmission every 10 k!
