2020 - One Second A Day.

Fun fact: I filmed one second every day of 2019 and 2018 as well but have never edited it. Might do that later... But yeah, it's interesting to see how my commuter's and traveler's life has stopped and changed to being in my apartment almost 24/7...

very in love with this... made me feel good about my life, like there are all of these achievable, nice and special 1 seconds out there for me to take, because simple things like a nice nature view or a tasty piece of cake really are something most people, or at least i'm lucky enough to have access to if i wanted. feels good to see all of these moments that are probably totally common and average to you but feel exciting to the viewer because they're not our own, but at the same time the way this is filmed (so much first person pov, that "just turned on the phone camera for a sec" feeling) feels so familiar that it gives you that "it COULD be my own" feeling. at the beginning i was a bit sad there weren't any timestamps (months etc), but halfway through i changed my mind on that completely, i really like how you don't always know the exact time and date on this, because it could really be any day. obviously they're not all good moments i'm sure, but i like seeing life summed up like this... thank you for sharing! i'm not one to usually leave these really lengthy fake deep-feeling comments on videos but i thought i would this time because i really like this video. did you just save all of these 1 second videos to your phone to a folder throughout the year or how did you organize this? i want to make one of these of my own for diary purposes, i think.

Wow, thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts on this. You're making a pretty good point here. I'm glad you like it. Obviously I didn't come up with the idea of this "one second a day for a year" thing - a couple of years ago I saw something like this on KZbin and thought that it's so cool to kinda be able to sum up your year like this. And as you say, it's more or less mostly common and average days - but yeah, it's still fascinating in a way. Regarding your question, well, I just recorded something every day on my cell phone and then went through all of the clips in the end. Fortunately all the file names of the videos on my phone start with the date they were recorded on. That makes it easier to organize at the end. For me the most difficult part was to remember to record SOMETHING every day. Looking back I can clearly see on which days I almost forgot to film something and then improvised it, haha. Looking forward to seeing your take on this.

I've come back to your Video a whole 9 months later, kinder made me think back, to when I first discovered you, to see your life, it's interesting, fulfilling in away, and hope you upload again. and P.S so pleased to see these results.

In fact I really just recorded a clip every day on my cell phone that each lasts a couple of seconds. And then I cut one second out of each clip and assembled the clips/seconds in my editing software.
